100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

@CheekyKeek you look gorgeous! I don't have a studio-esque closet but locking my husband out of the bathroom and playing with makeup is also my favorite past time hobby.  I'll have to pick up that Fenty shade at some point, I love a good berry shade.

Very nice colour on you @CheekyKeek ! I never tried Fenty mademoiselle... But I tried a lot of fermented grape products! 😄 I agree, wine and makeup are a great combo! 👍

Day 3: Charlotte Tilbury "Pillow Talk". Not 100% sold on this, I feel like it erases my lips. Might be slightly too pink for me.

@CheekyKeek I actually like this shade on you.  It's one of those shades you can just throw on to go to the grocery store to pick up avocados in. LOL. It's just simple and fresh.

@CheekyKeek I thought the same thing about some lipsticks I tried, and helping people here told me to use a slightly darker shade of lip liner to give a little punch. It works and I can use the lipstick instead of letting it sleeps somewhere... So, I'm speading the good news! 😊

Lipstick 229: Illamasqua Antimatter in Btch. (That’s the shade name’s spelling. I didn’t omit the “i” for BIC filter purposes.) This is the first Antimatter bullet I’ve given a day-long wear test.

Illamasqua Antimatter in Btch. Less plummy than I expected, but I still love the color.

The formula is unscented, semi-matte, and honestly a touch drying on my lips if I don’t use enough balm. Not enough to annoy me, but drying enough that I recommend a base layer of a very well moisturizing balm beneath this stuff. I got this full non-streaky/patchy coverage with a single swipe, so Btch scores points in the color payoff category. I suspect the Antimatters might perform well under gloss (which would help alleviate the dryness), so I’ll try that sometimes soon. 

This shade has average wear time: it wore down during my cup of coffee on the go, but didn’t fully disappear. Not a top performer but certainly not a bad one. No bleeding/feathering or pilling/crumblies. I never expect any bullet formula to survive a meal, so I’m not surprised this one didn’t. But as I’ve said before, that doesn’t bug me unless the lipstick bleeds/transfers all over my face—and thankfully, Btch didn’t do that. 

Overall, I like this, and not just because of the color. Working around the formula’s quirks is easy enough to justify keeping this bullet.
