100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

@Weetart  OooOO...she's pigmented for a gloss. Very pretty on you.  I think this is one of my fav colors on you.

@Weetart  Oh, I’m glad to see someone wearing one of these! I’ve been curious about Haus but haven’t ordered anything yet. Does that gloss bleed/feather much? Is it super sticky? That color is gorgeous on you! 😍

@WinglessOne @PrettyPaint I also got this gloss and the matching liner. Really like them especially in combo. I don’t usually love liners but this one is very smooth and stays on well with gloss over it. No bleed and lasted well too.  Super pretty. I’ll post both tomorrow if you’d like.

@Weetart  Looking forward to your full day review of the other gloss you bought! I’m glad to hear these don’t bleed, and now I might need to buy one if they can hold up fairly well to a meal.

Yes @WinglessOne definitely putting them together as I think it works best this way for these imho. I’m sure @Weetart has great feedback as well! Top is just liner in Slayer, middle is gloss in Scheme, bottom is gloss over liner. Liner is quite creamy but not too much so. Gloss is smooth only slightly tacky. It appeared more purple toned to me both irl and on me than Haus picture which disappointed me a dot. I wanted it to be exactly like pencil with a bit more red in it. ☺️ But it’s good. There is a slight scent or taste at first also that I couldn’t decide if it bugged me or not. Neutral but a little plasticy maybe. Pencil is typical smell. ( reminds me of Mac burgundy liners etc) The gloss isn’t quite as opaque on me as it appears on Weetart and doesn’t last too long on it own but again that’s just me. I must smack my lips a lot when I wear gloss. lol. They seldom do. My favorite way is gloss over liner , then it lasts a long time. 😊Let us know if you pick it up! Getting possible snow in Chicago did I see on news?! It’s gloomy here so hope pics come through ok . It does look redder here also which is a mystery lol bec on it’s more purple . 🤷🏻‍♀️XX

Thank you so much for posting this @Sunnysmom. The gloss looks very pigmented! It does look kind of reddish-toned in your photos (which would be better for me - I don't look too great in extremely cool-toned purple).

Lol I know @PrettyPaint ! It does. But irl it doesn’t nor on. At least me. I like the packaging too. It’s sturdy and fun. :). You going to get it you think?!

Aww I’m sorry @PrettyPaint I so hope not because of me! Maybe it just turns purple on me. Lol. But even out of the tube it’s more purple than on her site. I almost asked if I got a bad one bec it looked so different I thought unless just my screen. With the liner it’s more red vs purple and you may love that too. I know I’ll wear it a bunch and hope the gloss too as long as more red underneath it. 😊

@Sunnysmom  Thanks for the swatches and review! Adding both a Haus gloss and liner to my Try It list. Maybe I’ll put them on my birthday/holiday gift list. 

Your pics look great despite gloomy weather. Seems like storms are rolling through several states right now, including Illinois. No snow here yet, just thunderstorms and wind for the last couple days. Temps are in the 60s now but expected to hit 80s again very soon, then back down to 60s. Unlike some folks, I like snow (I always blame that on my winter solstice birthdate, haha) and get upset when we barely have any all winter. But it’s too early yet for snow here. 🙂

@Sunnysmom  Yeah, hopefully the whole Haus brand will expand over time. I’m not a big fan of Lady Gaga’s music but I appreciate her brand perspective, so I’d love to see it grow. (Heh, I’ve always said the same about Rihanna and look how big Fenty’s grown!) 

My birthday is December 21, the winter solstice of my birth year. That makes me a Sagittarius. Well, technically a Sagittarius/Capricorn cusp, but good luck finding any Capricorn traits in me. 😂 Fall is my favorite season, so I hope it isn’t short this year. It seems like spring lasted all of 3 weeks here this year!

Me too @WinglessOne .  I bet it will. I do like her tho didn’t always appreciate her. Don’t like all her songs but after hearing she has Fibro and watching A Star is Born I gained a newer appreciation for her. Loved it. She’s an acquired taste I think . Lol Agree on Rihanna-  same ! Ooh that’s a cool bday. ( My hubby is 24th. He’s less than thrilled tho on his! Yours is better! :). I’m Nov 5. And a true Scorpio. Ugg lol. I hope it lasts too. I miss your beautiful city in the fall!

@Sunnysmom  Did you watch her documentary? I think someone told me it is on netflix and a good portion of it is about dealing with fibromyalgia. I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but I've been meaning to.

My hair got caught in it once, but it dislodged easily. Didn’t bleed and hung in even after eating a salad. I will do a full report on a full day tomorrow on my second gloss. @WinglessOne

Day 12 Revlon Bare Affair. It’s a sheer, creamy nude and perfect for days that you don’t want to wear gloss but want some coverage.
