100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

Lipstick number 226: Origins Blooming Bold Lipstick in Pretty Petunia. This is the 3rd of the 4 shades I bought earlier this year.  

Origins Blooming Bold in Pretty Petunia. Still can’t believe it’s by Origins. 😄

Pretty Petunia performs just as wonderfully as Lush Lotus (my favorite of the 4 shades): very long lasting, gracefully even weardown, full pigmentation, creamy comfy, no bleeding or feathering, and no streaks or patches. Pretty Petunia’s slightly cooler toned than my bottom lip’s natural color, so it’s a nice MLBB shade for me. 

I’ve yet to be let down by these Blooming Bolds and I’m still surprised Origins created such fantastic bullets. I see they’re having a $20 off $45 sale right now, so I might buy 2 more of these if I can find something to fill the $5 gap; or, I could buy 3 and they’d end up costing just $15 a piece. Hmm... the tough decisions lipstick junkies face. 🤣

What origins makes lipstick 🤯 @WinglessOne

@ather  😂 Not many people know Origins makes makeup in addition to skincare and body care. They’ve been at it for a long time, but they hadn’t released any new makeup in 2 or 3 years before these Blooming Bolds (and Blooming Sheers) appeared. Before these, the last Origins lipstick I tried was their KissZing lip crayon. They had another lipstick line with “Flower” in its name; in my opinion, those weren’t as good as this new “Blooming” formula.

The Origins section in my local Marshall Fields stores (now Macys) used to have a full makeup station with all their products to play with, including blush and concealer and I think foundation, and mascara, and a few other things. I’m not sure how much makeup they have available anymore; I keep forgetting to check their site to find out.
