100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

Day 17. MAC in Ruby Woo. Just picked up a new tube during Ulta’s 21 days. A classic color. As a retro matte it takes a little extra pressure to apply, but nothing to really complain about. It’s a staple of any red collection. Pencil does help with this formula if you want the sharp lines. But I was looking for a softer look today.

Another great red on you @Weetart 💋, it’s a bit of a pain being ultra matte but once it’s on it’s not uncomfortable.  I use a pencil with it but it’s a fave shade 👍

This looks lovely on you @Weetart I just don't understand how anyone wears.  I tried it and hated it instantly.  Too dry, tugging and difficult to put on.  Not for me.  How is there so much love for this product?

Lol @sprocketta 😂 yes it’s so matte and pulls, I don’t know but it’s a unique red that seems to compliment all complexions.  I use a creamy pencil and persevere but it’s not user friendly haaa.  Once it’s on it’s not uncomfortable but I agree - it’s a tortuous application 🥵

@Weetart  Ruby Woo is gorgeous on you! I wish I could wear this shade but it’s never felt comfy enough on my lips, even with my standard base coat of lip balm. But I’m glad it works for you, because it’s a truly beautiful red.

@WinglessOne I totally feel you on this.  I tried Ruby Woo and hated it.  Way too dry and uncomfortable, even with primer under it.

@sprocketta  It’s a heartbreaker for me because I really do love this shade of red on me (and pretty much everyone) but holy dry application, Batman! I’ve tried it many times in however many years it’s existed, with various moisturizing base coats. Ruby Woo and I were just not meant to be. 

I’m always surprised, impressed, and a bit jealous when someone else can comfortably wear this one.

Thanks @WinglessOne ! It’s a tad challenging for application for me, one of the few I need a liner for sharp lines, but once it’s on it feels comfy. It’s such a great shade. Sorry it’s too uncomfortable for you.
