100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

NARS Lipstick in Funny Face, the OG blue-shift fuchsia. This is the new reformulated version in the red case. I don’t have my old Funny Face bullet for comparison (I used it up long ago), but I think this one’s much less drying. It’s very comfy for a matte bullet (worn over balm, of course). New formula smells the same as the old, but I don’t find it overpowering at all and it disappears quickly. 

I’m so happy to have Funny Face back in my collection!

Back when I finished my old bullet, I didn’t rebuy it, despite my love of this color, because UD Firebird is a near-exact dupe in a cream formula. The trade-off was Firebird’s extreme need to bleed. But since the new Funny Face feels much better and doesn’t bleed/feather, I might—and I canNOT believe I’m saying this—finally break up with Firebird. Or at least have a matte option that looks fantastic and behaves itself. 

Here’s how Funny Face wore 4 hours after application and 2 cups of coffee:

Oh, and Funny Face sits amazingly well under NARS Triple X Gloss (the clear one). I tried that out when I got home:

@WinglessOne  I love both versions, the matte and gloss! Good to know the gloss doesn't cause a bleed out, that's usually my preferred way of spiffying up a matte lipstick late in the day. Funny Face in the new formula is at the top of my list, I'm hoping they'll bring the red packaging to Sephora sooner or later...

Weetart, I hope you love your new NARS lipsticks! I like the new black or red packaging: I’ve been calling it “Audacious’s little sister.” 

MissPuff, I wonder when those 12 red-cased bullets will be available in the new standard black casing at Sephora and other retailers. Or if NARS will let other retailers sell the special “iconic” red case bullets. It’d be kinda neat if those 12 shades were permanently in red casing.
