100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

Aww that’s too bad @RGbrown 😢 it’s a beautiful deep purple and I find that with blackened reds too sometimes.  The colour is great on you though 🥰

@RGbrown  Aw, I was interested in that one too but didn’t buy; sorry to hear it’s so problematic. I don’t think I’ve tried any Flesh lipsticks. Will try to remember to swatch some during my next Ulta visit, if they’re sold in-store. Anyway, the color’s fantastic!

TBH, the brand name itself kinda creeps me out. The word flesh only has two major uses in my mind...either talking about cannibalism or as used on Cinemax After Dark, so I've avoided the brand completely. 🤣

I am very sad about this one since the color is simply amazing, but I also knew there was a good chance it would fail. I'm not completely sad I tried it, but I almost wish I had just played it safe and picked up a UD lip instead, since they were about the same price that day. Oh well...it wouldn't be a normal haul for me if I didn't have something to toss immediately 😂

I didn’t wear this all day—in fact, I only wore this for an hour this morning before wiping it off to do my AM shower and skincare routine. 😄 I didn’t wear any makeup afterward since I’ve stayed home all day, resting my knee and ankle. But I used 2 shades I haven’t worn yet in this thread (plus 2 shades I’ve worn before), so... 

Pimples like this one make me wish I could use benzoyl peroxide. Sigh...

The black is an outline of Bite pencil in 56 and a base coat of MAC Liptensity in Stallion (a repeat shade for this thread). It’s ombred with MAC Matte in Deep Rooted (repeat shade), MAC Matte in Frosting (new for this thread), and Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge Sheer in Silver Metamorphose (new for this thread). 

Lancôme Silver Metamorphose, a discontinued bullet shade. All others are MAC bullet shades.

Thanks @ather ! My ankle’s had problems for decades; it gives out on me sometimes. And I’ve been nursing a bad knee for months. I pulled the LCL in that knee last year, then I fell and landed hard on that knee a few months later. It’s been super cranky ever since, and I’m trying to convince myself to have a doctor look at it again. Meanwhile I just RICE it once in a while. 😄 I’m ridiculously stubborn and anxious about going to docs for injuries.

Great job on the ombré lips @WinglessOne ❤️ Really like those shades and deep rooted 👍 might have to swatch that shade next time I pop into MAC.

Thanks @2manyperfumes !  I almost decluttered Deep Rooted earlier this year, but something about it made me want to keep it. 🙂 It’s a unique shade in my collection, and it’s very comfy for a matte bullet. Hope you get to swatch it in person!
