100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

Ummmm well then we will have to catch up and you won’t feel weird about the number of lipsticks you have lol.  Seriously I think @WinglessOne has a substantial collection and so does @RGbrown.  I know I have around 150.  I really should count them but I prefer denial 😘😁

@2manyperfumes  @Girly2Shoes  If it makes y’all feel better, I know someone who has over 500 lipsticks. (Probably over 600 by now, though she’s supposedly decluttering. She bought the entire Wu-Tang x Milk lipstick collection. 🤣) She’s also the friend of mine who collects Japanese makeup brushes. She turned one of her bedrooms into a beauty room and it seriously looks like a beauty boutique store and brush showroom. She says most of her stash is for collection purposes, but she does actually use a lot of her makeup. It just takes her a long time to rotate through it all.

Wow that is a wild number but I bet you her room is amazing 😉 I sometimes watch this YouTube Tarabynz?  Her collection room is beyond belief.  Hundreds - industrial storage drawers full and she keeps collecting.  That would be a lot of fun pouring through all her items.  I wish I had a room that was just mine ❤️

I love this glossy gloss. Very little actual colour once on, but it makes the lips look juicier!  I'm betting it would also be nice over a lippie. @2manyperfumes

I like your list! You and @2manyperfumes  made me wonder how many MAC lipsticks I have, so I pulled them all out for a photo. I included lip liners and now I can see I have more NARS and MUFE liners than MAC. I don’t think I have any of the shades you do. (Carnal and Carnal Instinct are different.) Most of my MACs are deep reds, burgundies, purples, bold pinks, berries, blues, and some “out there” shades like white, grey, and citron. 

I’ve worn MAC lipsticks since the 1990s and they used to be my favorites. I still love my MACs, but I also love NARS and PMG nowadays. In the last 12 months, I’ve decluttered some MAC bullets and nearly all my MAC liquid mattes and glosses. (That mini Lipglass was a recent GWP; I probably won’t keep it.) There are too many other great lipstick formulas out there these days. Plus, MAC just discontinued their best (in my opinion) lipstick line. 😞

Wow! @WinglessOne , my list is about 1/2 of my stash. Also have lots of lip and eyeliners and some shadows. Have to dig them all out.

Wow that is a great collection @WinglessOne I didn’t even think of my liners or glosses lol.  You are much more organized.  I have probably 4-6 liners and only two glosses.  The Grand Illusion line.  What did MAC discontinue?  I love their amplified ones.  There are so many good brands.  Now I have to wait till my new lippies come in and I’ll separate the brands and take a photo of each.  I received three of my new ones.  

I’ve ordered some unique shades and more normal ones lol.

@2manyperfumes  MAC discontinued the Liptensity line this year. 

I almost bought Woof a while back, but I can dupe it. I don’t remember what color No Cell Service is. But the Lipstories line is generally great, especially for its price. 🙂 Sephora needs to make more “unconventional” Lipstories shades!

Oh they should bring it back.  Didn’t they take something away then brought it back.  I hate when they stop something that is a personal fave.  I swatched the NYX shade close to Woof.  It was a bit too cool for me whereas Woof is a warmer black to lay under my darker shades for more intensity.  No cell service isn’t as yellow as the other metallic gold.  It’s more bronze so I bought it as a topper to some of my other shades.  I’m loving the Lipstories but yes they need more edgy shades.  👍 both Melt and Colourpop had some crazy sales and I partook fully.  I’ve never used CP and I only bought bullets from Melt.  Disliked their liquid lip formula.
