Hi BIC!
A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.
Love this red on you, @2manyperfumes , gotta wear it tomorrow and post it. Love to follow you on IG.
Thank you @Girly2Shoes ❤️ Great red and looking forward to you wearing it👍 Did you find me on IG? Let me know I can send you the link.
No I didn't @2manyperfumes , do you use this?
I *love* this red on you, @2manyperfumes ! Perfect.
MAC lipglass in lovechild. I like this one. The colour is a little more muted. I don't have another colour similar.
Beautiful colours
So pretty @l8totheparty! We’re Lipglass twins.
Beautiful shimmer to it with a bit of gold reflect in it @l8totheparty 🥰 very pretty.
MAC Liptensity in Eros. I applied this as a stain—outlined both lips, applied a full coat to one lip, then rubbed lips together for stain-like coverage—which I rarely do, but today I wanted to tone down the bright pink a bit.
Such a pretty pink!
This is a Saturday afternoon tea and a shopping trip lippie. Its pretty on you 💗😊 @WinglessOne
Very beautiful pink @WinglessOne 👍🤩 you look good in so many different shades. I agree your skin is wonderful 🥰
Your skin is beautiful! Do you have any tips for someone in their late 20’s?
Aw, thanks @Didimimilili ! ☺️ My biggest skincare tip, regardless of skin type: SUNSCREEN. At least SPF 30, and don’t rely solely on the SPF found in any makeup (like foundation). Wear sunscreen every day. All year. Even on overcast days. I rarely used sunscreen in my teens and 20s, which is why I’m now using 2 OTC retinol products (a full face serum and an eye serum) in my late 40s to reverse some dark patches caused by sun damage.
Other than that? Make sure at least 1 or 2 of your skincare products contain a good mix of antioxidants (vitamins C, E, etc.; green/black/white tea; niacinamide; ferulic acid; there are lots to choose from, including retinol) for extra environmental pollution protection and other benefits. Peptides will help your skin build proteins behind the scenes and amplify the effects of your other skincare products. Avoid products that contain high amounts of alcohol and added fragrance/perfume. Exfoliate at least once a week (physical is okay if done gently; chemical—AHA/BHA—is the better option for me) to keep your pores clear of dead skin cells. Use a non-drying cleanser and never skip moisturizer. And when in doubt, ask a dermatologist or medical aesthetician. 🙂
