100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

A bit of a repeat, but I wanted to do a better wear test on this one, without building it up in the beginning, and without touching it up. 

TPSY Lip Dash Marker in Play House

The first pic is one coat (mostly...it's hard not to overlap or miss a spot when doing your lips with a skinny marker tip, so we'll call it 1.5 coats lol). The second pic is around 3 hours. I swear my camera tries to sabotage me; the fade in the middle wasn't nearly as extreme as the pic shows, nor were the lines near my corners so dark IRL...it was soft and subtle enough that I was extremely content with how it wore down. I didn't get a chance to take more pics after three hours, but the couple of chances I got to look in a mirror, the graceful fade continued, and never looked patchy or off kilter to me in any way.

I made no color touchups throughout the day, but was generous with balm as needed (and my balm always came back clean, so it didn't seem to be disturbing the color much, if at all) All in all, I'm impressed 👍

I have too many palettes...I keep forgetting how much I love this one (ok, well, all of them, really 😂). This was a super easy two color look (ok, plus "set primer" and "pop of highlight"), but the duochrome does a nice job of making it look more complicated. ❤️

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer Fenty Glow

Love the shine and color. It’s not sticky. I just wish it was longer lasting, but it’s a gloss so I know that’s not gonna happen. So I’ll happily reapply.

Did I say I’d happily reapply? I don’t look very joyful, do I? 😄

I did @RGbrown . Thanks! It’s PPL People Eater Poser Paint from Good Dye Young. It’s a temporary color, so it’ll wash out whenever I wash my hair again. I’m considering buying other colors too.

@divaknits  Now that I’m here via iPad, instead of my dimmed-screen iPhone in bad lighting, I can really see your purple curls. 💜 I’ve considered putting some temporary color in my hair for this weekend’s Pride celebration. Good to see how well this one works on you! 

I haven’t dyed my hair (temp, semi-perm, or permanent) in 20 years, so it’ll be weird having any color other than black, grey, and the deep auburn some of my hair turns after lots of sun exposure. I’ve never dyed it purple; I always dyed it blue, jet black, or blue-black (or a combo of those). Might go the blue/purple highlights route this weekend. Hmm.

I hope you did it @WinglessOne . I love this temporary color because I don’t have to bleach it or worry about waiting for it to grow out. I was surprised it slowed up so well in my dark hair.
