100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

I used to constantly underline (underfill) my bottom lip for some unknown reason. Seeing so many of my own selfies in this thread made me realize my full pout looks better 😂 so I finally stopped doing it.

Aah underline and underfill... much better words lol. Yeah I don’t know what’s wrong with me sometimes. It’s like, that lip ridge you know? Where it can be a different skin pigment in parts. On my top lip there is a larger section that has a different pigment than on my bottom. @WinglessOne

Huda Beauty Demi Matte in Passionista. Doesn’t perform as well as the shade Provocateur, but greatly outperforms the shade Lady Boss. This is a single coat on my bottom lip and 2 coats on my top lip. It feathers, so I added a lip liner post-application—something I normally don’t do (if I use a liner, I apply it before the lipstick) but in this case, I also needed to fill in a spot I missed with the doe foot. 

My daily usual: brows, blush, and lips. Eh, and a bit of concealer in the tear troughs.

I’m also testing Supergoop! AcaiFusion Lip Balm Broad Spectrum SPF 30 0.5 oz/ 15 mL today: I used it instead of my usual Aquaphor beneath this lipstick. It’s super moisturizing, smells great (the smell disappears quickly), and has no yucky sunscreen taste. Right after applying it, I blotted off some excess and gave it 5 minutes to set before applying lipstick. Worked like a charm! I’ve finally found my perfect SPF lip balm!

@WinglessOne  awesome to know. I’ve been searching for a great lip balm I’ll give this a try!!

@ather  I highly recommend the Supergoop balm! I’ve used it more times under lipstick since that post and it doesn’t need so much time to set. I can apply it, wait 30-60 seconds, then blot off any excess (if I overapplied by accident) and go straight to lipstick. To wear it alone—say, when I go for an outdoor run—I overapply and leave the excess on, just like I do with Aquaphor during runs/workouts. 😄

@Weetart  It’s much better than Coola’s SPF balm, and waaaaay better than Aquaphor’s SPF. 😄 Next time I’m at Sephora (or another store that sells it), I’ll buy a second tube to keep in my purse/bag.

Thanks for the SPF tip @WinglessOne 👍 so hard to find one that doesn’t taste like one.  This colour is gorgeous on you and beautiful application WOW!  This shade really suits you ❤️ Good to know that it’s not the best performing but you could never tell from the photo.
