100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

MAC Liptensity in Claretcast. This is a Liptensity shade I’ve never owned before, and I’m glad I grabbed it. I’m sure I have dupes but I love this formula so much, I’ll accept having multiples of this shade. I mean, look at how nicely it wore down (after 4 hours of frequent coffee and water)! This is one of the reasons I’ve loved Liptensities since they first launched. 

L: daylight, right after application. R: dusk, 4 hours of wear.

I need to get back to rolling through all my glosses soon. 😄 I just couldn’t resist trying one of my newest acquisitions.

This looks great @WinglessOne ! I picked up two from Ulta today. I wish they’d had this color, but most of them were gone.

Thanks @divaknits ! Pretty much any store that sells MAC has these marked down to MAC’s sale price, so you might be able to find this shade elsewhere (including MAC direct if they haven’t sold out yet). 🙂 And I’m totally jealous of anyone who finds any of these priced way cheaper at, say, a TJMaxx or Nordstrom Rack. Anyway, I hope you like the 2 shades you bought!

My feelings on this too! I was kinda kicking myself for not paying close attention to what I already have shade-wise, but in the end, I really don't care that I already have similar shades in other formulas...these are fantastic enough that I can declutter whatever other dupes I have if I decide I want to downsize again. 

Claretcast looks fabulous on you! I have a feeling we picked up some of the same shades and will be playing twinsies a good bit soon 😋

@RGbrown  Exactly! On the flip side—which is also kind of a win, really—having dupes means you’ve at least still got that shade when your Liptensity bullet’s empty, if you happen to like any of the dupe formulas. 🙂 I have a near perfect Hellebore dupe (a Black Up creme bullet) that I also love, so I didn’t buy a backup. Hopefully the Black Up bullets don’t get discontinued... (Macy’s sells them now!) 

Heh, I wore Beetroot earlier in this thread, so we’re already on the twins path. 😂 I think I said this before but: I’m especially interested to hear your thoughts on Noblesse, because I swear my new bullet’s not quite the same as my old one was. (Still good but kinda temperamental.) Let the twinning begin!

Today I pulled out a pretty nude from my Nudestik collection in shade J Jamm.  I used a similar shade pencil by Clarins.  Love these Nudestik pencil lippies.  They go on so smoothly, very moist and have a nice sheen.  They are long lasting for being that soft and creamy.
