Hi BIC!
A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.
Thanks @Girly2Shoes ! I sure others have their own ways but for me I have a couple ways. Sometimes if itโs a slower drying mascara I apply it to my top lashes and then blink rapidly for a moment and it actually covers them really well. Other times I use a mascara with a thin brush and basically just sort of do real light super short strokes and then use the tip of the applicator to get at those pesky inner ones.
Pretty shade on you @Weetart I see these at my drugstore. Nice sheer shimmery topper. I, so picky on foundation and I tried the Fenty but I didnโt buy it. As we age it gets harder and harder to find a foundation that doesnโt age our skin by getting into all the crevices grrrr. Iโve tried some maracuja oil from Tarte with some foundations or added some moisturizer to them and theyโve worked. If they donโt then I get rid of them. No point adding more wrinkles to my face ๐
Oh I know @2manyperfumes ! For me itโs the worst around the eyes, especially the inner under eye. Itโs sooo annoying! There is a reason I typically only use either a bb cushion or a lighter foundation on my cheeks and chin. It covers my flushing and does t get crackly there lol. I do admit Iโm lucky with my skin. I even look younger than my younger cousins (which cheeses them off).
I canโt believe you reach ๐ฏ already wow, congratulations and I hope you still contribute with probably more lipsticks.
Since you were talking about dark circles under the eyes, @Weetart and @2manyperfumes , do you have any suggestions of product to hide them? I saw so many different things that I'm a bit lost. I don't wanna make it look worst! ๐
Oh man, I am terrible at it @MlleJuju lol. Honestly I mostly suck it up and just dab my bb cushion just the same as the rest of my face. Or use UD primer. Often I use UD primer just to cover my blue/purple tinted eyelids. Iโm so pale Iโm translucent lol Any method that involves concealer usually ends up a cracky mess. Iโm I sweat too much for too much foundation during summer months.
@Weetart @Yeah, I'm affraid of messing under my eyes instead of making it better. And my skin is so dry that I'm affraid of the bad result I could achieve easily! ๐
Hmmm everything works differently but everyone raves about shape tape from Tarte and their Amazonian concealer works pretty good. I like the Hello Fab concealer from First Aid. KVD Lock it concealer is pretty high coverage, itโs too drying for me. NYX canโt stop wonโt work concealer works well on me. If the other ladies can add to this because Iโm a lot older then you so my skin needs products that donโt crinkle in the wrinkle ๐
Thanks @2manyperfumes for the infos. I'll look into that. Ah, ah! I doubt very much that you're a lot older than me. People pretty much always think that I'm younger than I really am. ๐
Me too @Weetart Iโm always going for light coverage over full coverage. I even find once I use a bit of foundation and concealer it makes me older than I look without it. But I do have dark circles and some hyperpigmentation so I try to even it out. I should dry just some primer and soft powder to see if itโs not too bad. I have Mediterranean background with a bit of olive undertones but Iโve never had oily skin even when I was younger. Iโm naturally quite auburn with a bit of freckling. We all age differently but I donโt have many relatives or cousins. Iโm an only child. The few that I have we only see each other once or twice a year. They just have been a bit nasty because Iโm smaller than them weight size. I donโt care about their size or whether they are a size anything. They can do whatever floats their boat and thatโs fine by me. I donโt judge them by appearance just by what comes out of their mouths lol.
@2manyperfumes That's too bad about your cousins. What a bad attitude brought out by jalousy. I don't have much family members anymore either.
@Weetart if it helps, I finally decluttered mine after months of trying to mix it with other foundations, adding oils to it, using moisturizing primers....using no primers.... nothing made it look good on me. it just looked powdery and then cracked or scaled at some point in the day. It didnโt like me either.
That lippy looks sooo nice on you though;). Your lips look moisturized.
Thank you @heartsmyface that does help! And the lips do feel moisturized with this formula.
Big congrats on reaching day 100 @Weetart!! ๐ This colour suits you so well! ๐ As for the Fenty foundation, maybe you could see if the shade would work for one of your friends?
Thank @Guessgal ! And thank you for the advice! I did not think of that. I have a work gal pal that I could pawn it off to! Heh heh.
So I decided to go a little crazy and wear Fenty Mattemoiselle in Ya Dig? for day 81. Yes I went to work with this on and ya know what? People actually liked it. Wait...what? Yes, I like bold colors. Sure, you can wear bold colors too. No, I didnโt buy it here. Why thank you. Glad you like it. Where? Sephora and Fenty, yโall need to start paying me. ๐ Will I wear it again? Sure. Iโve put it out there now. Weird color? Absolutely!
I love "weird" colors like this! Some of my favorite lipsticks are unconventional shades. I've gotten the most compliments on my lipstick when I wear stuff that most people consider wild, "out there" shades. You're rocking it!
@divaknits aww I love this colour. Very different and fun!!
