100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

This is a really pretty color @WinglessOne! I saw these a few days ago and almost bought one. I have dupes of some of the colors though so I was able to control myself - at least for now.

Thanks @MlleJuju ! I suspect the orange one will be streakier on application: it was a bit fussy on my hand. We’ll find out soon!

Love the Caribbean vibes of this shade @WinglessOne .  Very pretty blue and I love how you appreciate the lipstick coffee mug stains.  I swatched the Fenty ones and loved the coral.  I ended up putting it back and didn’t buy any lipsticks there.  I went in for my Sol D’Janeiro bum bum cream which is $57 ouch. Then my IGK 30,000 volumizing texture powder, the Fenty Chillz highlighter and First Aid facial scrub wash so it was still an expensive mini haul.  I did see MAC is having 40% off on select lipstick shades.  Originally $23 now $13.80 some will be discontinued so once they are gone that’s it.

Thanks @2manyperfumes ! Yeah, apparently the Liptensity line is disappearing. 😞 That’s been one of my favorite bullet formulas since MAC first released that line, so I’m super bummed. At first I hoped MAC was just retiring specific shades, as they’ve done with that line before. But nope, the entire line’s marked down at MAC direct. 😭 I hope it’s being replaced with something as good or better. Heck, they could even repackage that formula in a traditional bullet shape, call it something new, and rename all the shades, and I’d be ecstatic. 😄

Lol @MlleJuju those little baskets $$$.  I’m trying to save my points for skincare mostly but well you know and so does @WinglessOne I get distracted with my fave brands.  I usually do my big hauls around nov/dec/Jan and then pick up fave products when they run out during the year.  Rough work weeks and makeup rewards haaa sounds familiar.

@2manyperfumes @I was too eager to get something with my points to wait to have more 😁. I add a little masacara from pretty vulgar to my mast order. I got to say: it is awesome! Makes very beautiful, thick, long and black lashes.

@MlleJuju  The little baskets are fun until you try to fill them with several Commodity perfume bottles, then realize you need a 2nd basket to hold them all, which makes you look like a crazy hoarder. 😄

@WinglessOne @2manyperfumes @Tell me about it! I went to a Lise Watier warehouse sale not long ago (well, I went 3 times over 2 weekend! Katching!) and it was so easy to fill the little baskets with magnificent palettes, serum and eyeliner!!!

Thanks so much @PenelopeBT ! ☺️ Even though I’m not a seasonal shade person, I think this one’s totally doable for anyone this summer. It’d be a fun shade to wear to a party, festival, amusement park, wine/beer tasting, etc. 

And yes, Fenty’s on a serious summer roll! I’ve really enjoyed watching Fenty grow since their first release. I especially love that the brand hasn’t lost its edge, unlike Urban Decay. (I remember when UD was new and, while I still love some of their products, I feel like they’re not quite the same UD anymore; I’m sure their parent company has a hand in that, but still.) I’m not a big fan of Rihanna’s music, but I respect and appreciate the overall face and vibe she’s put on her brand.

Thanks @RGbrown ! Some of them were streakier than others during my swatches, but hopefully they’re as easy as Go Deep to even out. 🙂 

And nooooooo, not my beloved Liptensities! Something told me yesterday to stop my my local standalone MAC store but I didn’t. I’ll have to visit soon! I’m glad you grabbed a few; can’t wait to see which ones!
