100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

@WinglessOne Hahaa!!! I do that with text messages all the time. I’m like “why they are not replying to my texts” and I go to check and realize I never send the text 😆🤦🏼‍♀️ 

I like this combo as well. The blue liner is Urban Decay Waterproof 24/7 Liquid Eyeliner but I think it was unfortunately discontinued.

This combo looks good on you @katkapivarci ! I know how it feels to have a lipstick feel so good but you don’t like the way it looks and vice versa. I’ve bought plenty where in hindsight I was like, really? The power of lipstick.

@snoflakefaerie Thank you. Yes, it’s a bummer when lipstick doesn’t perform the way you want it to. I know I should probably try everything before buying but I personally can’t bring myself to try tester lipsticks on my lips so I only swatch them on my arm and sometimes the colors looks good swatched but not on the lips.

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution in Walk of Shame  Think I got this as a Sephora promo...? It’s the only CT bullet I own. It’s comfy enough, wears down gracefully for me, and behaves overall. But I’m confident one of my PMG MatteTrances is a dupe. I’ll check when I get home. For now, I’m trying to enjoy the rest of this springtime 66 degree day. Forecast this morning claimed we’d be back in the 30s by Wednesday. Typical midwestern spring. 😂

@WinglessOne this shade is also the only CT I own. It was a vip/rouge award a couple:three months ago. I find that it works really nicely when you do the Kbeauty ombré look.

@Weetart  A-ha, I bet that’s where mine came from: rewards bazaar. I don’t normally do the Korean single-color ombré (I prefer a 2 or 3 color ombré on my own lips) but I can see how this shade would work well for that!

@WinglessOne This is a nice soft color on you.  How does this formula compare to the PMG matte trance?  Yesterday was great but not looking forward to the cold again!

@sprocketta  As soon as I put it on yesterday, I thought “okay, this is Flesh 3 or 5,” but had to leave before I could swatch-compare shades. 😄 Tonight I confirmed Walk of Shame is indeed a less pigmented version of MatteTrance Flesh 5. 

Walk of Shame is a more sheer version of Flesh 5.

This is the only CT Matte Revolution bullet I’ve ever worn, so it might be unfair to judge the entire line by one shade’s performance. But if Walk of Shame does represent the whole line: the CT mattes don’t have that velvety feel of the PMG mattes. CTs feel more like a cream bullet, though they do have a matte finish. But the PMGs are much more pigmented. Also, this CT shade didn’t wear as long as my MatteTrances do. And now that I know Walk of Shame and Flesh 5 are nearly identical, I shouldn’t keep Walk of Shame. I guess the CT bullet’s good for when I want a more sheer coat of that shade. (The CT shade’s definitely not sheer; it’s just more sheer than the PMG shade.) 

I probably won’t buy a CT Matte Revolution unless I see a shade that’s unique for my collection. They’re not bad bullets at all. I just wouldn’t choose them over a MatteTrance.

@WinglessOne Very pretty nude. I really like these peachy nudes these days. I have one CT mini as well. It was 100point perk if I remember correctly. I have to check it out if it’s this shade to see how it’s going to look on me.

@WinglessOne, CT pinks can be tricky. I have 4 colors of hers, and this particular one isn't a favorite on me, either.

You’re too funny @WinglessOne but that colour is very pretty on you.  It’s soft, feminine and looks lovely.  I don’t have any CT shades but this is definitely a good shade ❤️.
