100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

Day 42. Bite Amuse Bouche The Unearthed Collection in Clove. Nope, nope, nope. Picture looks “okay” because I cleaned it up for the picture. It didn’t make it through my morning commute before bleeding, feathering, and smudging and pooling. Too bad because I like the color and bought it so I’d have an earthy color. But nope!!! If anyone knows a dupe in this color in anything but a glossy mess I would be most grateful. I bought another in the same collection, don’t think I’m even going to bother trying it, returning straight away!

@Weetart  Clove is beautiful on you, but I know what you mean about the feathering. I have a Bite liquid (Arrowroot) with the same problem. I also have 3 of the liquid prismatics that seem to behave better.

Next time I’m at Sephora (probably later today) I’ll do some swatch comparisons, because I could swear there’s a Bite Amuse Bouche bullet that’s very close to Clove. PMG LuxeTrance in Strange is the first dupe that comes to mind. I bet there’s also a NARS Audacious dupe, and I’m sure there’s a MAC bullet dupe—and it’s bugging me that I can’t remember the MAC’s name right now. PMG LuxeTrance in Unnatural Natural might be too brown; MatteTrance in Flesh 3 is too pink. Hmm.

So sorry cuz that color looks really good on you :). @Weetart I think a good dupe would be NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment Slow Ride or Bite( i know its scary but this doesnt bleed and I have that problem with feathering) BITE BEAUTY - Multistick - Almond

It has a matte feel when putting it on so I think it would have less slip than the Amouse Bouche.

Gorgeous shade on you though - I have the same issues with some of my Bite lipsticks feathering - I sometime take a light silver or gold waterproof eyeliner and lightly trace above the lip line and set with a bit of powder or highlighter and for some reason it seems to work.  It’s so pretty on you.

The site keeps crashing every time I try to post so I’ll keep it short. Day 55: Some mystery lippie by Sephora with Buxom Celeste (hated it as a topper. Barely shows up. ). I also hate mystery lipsticks. I like knowing what I put on. Day 56: Some mini by Givenchy. It uses you pH to make your perfect pink. I think I like it because it’s so subtle. I have to bust out the other mini later. It makes your lip berry. I wish I could find these again. They were in a mini duo. Yes this one’s a mystery, but it’s Givenchy. It stays in the train case. 😄

Thanks @sprocketta. I notice I’m turning to more sedate colors lately. I don’t know if it’s Michael’s influence or that I’m just in a bit of a temporary rest from the really unique and bright colors. Either way I know I’ll go back eventually.

They are both very nice on you.  The second photo gives a very natural but better look and the first one looks like a mid tone berry but a warm shade.  Pretty - hate mystery items lol 😝
