Hi BIC!
A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.
@Anonymous Thank you!
Looks great and I actually like that they just reduce to a stain and not go blotchy. Love that shade by KVD it’s beautiful on you. I have that shade and a lot of her studded kiss and liquid lips. Sanctuary and Double Dare are very nice. Have you tried those? The old Motörhead formula was terrible but when she redid the formulas it’s so much smoother.
@2manyperfumes I also have a lot of her studded kisses and liquids. And no! I don't have Sanctuary and Double Dare! Also, I actually just bought the new Motörhead during her 25% off on her site sale, and I agree it is smooth, I didn't have the old formula of that so I'm glad I missed that. One that I have and hate how blotchy it goes on is Poe. Like really?
I don’t have Poe but PIAF was reformulated too and the shade is different. I don’t know which formula I have but it’s the one that has more of that lavender greige shift to it. It was difficult to work with until I used the sides instead of the top to apply. Hmmmm weird huh?
@divaknits Thanks! I don't know why I haven't bothered comparing the same color in different formulas before. Laziness.
...and now I also have “Mother” stuck in my head. (Which is not a bad thing.) That’s a lovely color on you, @Weetart !
@WinglessOne Thank you! And your welcome. 😉
Today I have so much running around to do before work so I went for an easy fast makeup look with a Bite Beauty is Sugar Flower. It’s in a pencil formula glides on smooth with a pretty metallic shimmer and moisturizing. I bought two colours. Guava Frost and Sugar Flower. My face is so dry and textured today it’s wrinkling up like a paper bag. 😭😤😢 I hate aging and am not ready for it at all. My gray hair is showing and I need a haircut. It’s not the nice grey that I wouldn’t mind but it’s the electrocuted frizzy
You are lookin fine @2manyperfumes not to worry
Psh, you look fine, @2manyperfumes . 🙂 Sugar Flower works really well on you! I also have 2 of those Bite Crystal Creme crayons and you’ve reminded me that I’ve only worn one of them so far.
And I’m chuckling a bit because I’ve had gray hair since I was 15. 😄 I’m... quite a bit older (and grayer) than that now, and the lines under my eyes are much more pronounced than they were when I was in my 30s—I swear I woke up one morning in my early 40s and said “when the bleep did these lines get here?!” But my general approach to aging is to focus much more on healthy skin/hair care than “youthful” appearance. (Ha, did I mention I had some gray hair in my teen years? Society stigmatizes gray hair so much, it’s ridiculous.) My lines aren’t going anywhere unless I get dermal fillers (which I honestly don’t wanna do), so I just kinda accept them and instead focus on plumping skin through hydration and moisturization. Keeps me sane and MUCH less stressed about aging.
Thank you @WinglessOne I’m hoping to get my hair done sooner than later. Bite is a good for you brand too which is nice. I loved the Guava shade but the Sugar flower was prettier in person than online. I ended up changing up my makeup a second time and then grabbed a Huda shade. Lol because I bought a new eyeliner and another lipstick. My 16 year old daughter is starting to get greys (hereditary) I didn’t go gray until my early 40s (hit early menopause wreaked havoc on me). Doctor said it was a combo of heredity and extreme stress. From 48 to 49 I ballooned over 50+ and had rheumatoid athritis. I’m now back to almost normal lol but not without some battle scars that were left. I can fix most of them. I kinda giggle myself when people say something to me too because boy if they only knew. So halfway through my day I tested out Provacateur by Huda in the Demi matte formula with a bit of Sexy Mother Pucker Lipgloss over top what was left of Sugar flower. It is a nice formula but on its own it didn’t last long especially in the middle as soon as I drank a cup of coffee it was gone.
