100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

I’m not sure which year’s version it is, but I do know this was one that was only available in Canada. A very sweet Canadian BICer agreed to send me this particular Mauvember.

Black Up Lipstick in No. 24. This is a satin finish bullet that applies so smoothly and pigmented, it kinda just melts onto my lips with a single coat. It also bleeds a bit without a lipliner or primer barrier. It’s one of 3 Black Up lipsticks I own (one other satin solid and a liquid matte). I keep saying I should buy more of these satins but haven’t yet. 

Need. More. Sleep.

I haven’t worn any makeup at all most of this week... haven’t even left home or gone outside in, I dunno, 3 or 4 days. Been too sick. 😞 Now I’ve got INTENSE cabin fever and need to get outta here. So I did my brows, masked some of my zombie undereye darkness (I’ve probably slept a total of 10 hours this week... I’m afraid to check my Fitbit to find out), swiped on this lipstick, and I’m about to go aimlessly wander the city. Without spreading my cooties, I hope.

Thanks everyone! I think the crud is finally leaving my system: my face usually breaks out near the end of a bad cold and I’ve got a few pimples now, plus I can finally breathe while lying down. 😄 It’s the small victories that matter. 

Only one Chicago Sephora (Water Tower) carries Black Up. Since I rarely visit that location, I haven’t swatched much Black Up stuff in person. I bought these lipsticks semi-blind. I should see if that Sephora has the whole lipstick line, among other things. There’s also a Riley Rose at Water Tower Place that carries some Beauty Bakerie, Suva, Coloured Raine, May Coop, and other fun stuff—so the next time I visit that store, I’ll swing by the nearby Sephora to swatch things.
