Hi BIC!
A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.
I have no idea what this is. The lipstick doesn't have a brand name or color on it. It's in a black tube with a black lid and a small clear piece where you can see the color. It applied nicely and I really like the color though. It wasn't patchy like I was afraid it would be.
Ah @Samtian! Mystery lippie. Too bad you won’t be able to repurchase because it’s really lovely on you. Oh well, guess you’ll just have to find a different brand. 👍
@Samtian That's such a bummer because this looks fantastic on you.
Lipstick 7/50 is from the NARS - Erdem For NARS Lip Powder Palette.
I used the priming balm and the Calypso shade. The formula is so interesting--I'm always impressed with how easy it is to apply this powder and also how pigmented the powders are.
It's a nice nude @txcatx. Have you tried the UD Lo-fi Mousse lip powders? If so, how do they compare?
I remember seeing this palette! I love the shades and Calypso is beautiful on you!
How long do these last, @txcatx? That’s the main thing that’s kept me from trying lip powders: not sure I wanna carry the whole palette in my bag to reapply several times a day. But I might need to give the NARS powders a chance, since I’m generally a NARS fan anyway. 🙂 That particular shade is lovely.
@WinglessOne I think the lip powders last as long as your standard matte lipstick. My lipstick was still holding on after lunch, but the darker colors last even longer. I also agree about carrying palettes around in a purse--I never do that, which is also why I rarely buy palettes. This one was so pretty and innovative that I had to give it a shot, though.
Also, the powders last longer when you use the primer balm, but the powders can be used with or without the balm.
Good to know, @txcatx. I’ll give these a shot. 🙂
@txcatx lip powders continue to mystify me, but darn this looks lovely on you!
I didn't even know lip powders were a thing so I also am mystified.
@NotCrocker Thanks! And I know about the mystifying factor! Lip powders are such a weird concept. I like the Nars palette since the powders are pressed, but I received a loose powder lipstick formula in a subscription box once and promptly gave it away without trying it.
I threw on Bite matte creme lip crayon in Glacé this morning. Definitely darker and more brown than I expected, but it works for fall.
Ooooh, it matches your hair color, which is lovely ❤️ @NotCrocker
@NotCrocker It’s a lovely colour on you. I love your hair too.
@NotCrocker This looks so nice with your hair. Definitely time to pull out those fall colors. Looking good!
I love this colour on you! It goes so well with your hair! @NotCrocker
Thanks @keana1! Remembering what it is like to make-up with normal coloured hair!
Day 4 & 5 : MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - Le Marc Lip Crème Lipstick - Slow Burn 246 and MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - Le Marc Lip Crème Lipstick So Rouge 240. Weather being all gloomy and my indoor lightings aren’t good enough so it wasn’t easy to take a good picture yesterday as well as today.
However much I love terracotta/ Orange toned reds but it is a fact that blue toned reds look better on my skin tone.
