Hi BIC!
A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.
Itโs a combo of Viseart Bridal (a frosty medium blue on my lids), Viseart Dark Mattes (the blue purple) and Viseart Bijoux Royal (a reddish purple). They blend really nicely. I wasnโt sure about the blue but you canโt really see it with my hooded eyes, so what the heck, right?
I noticed your eyes too, @jozkid! Thanks for sharing, did you pick up those during the llast sale? Funny, I just tried that Nars Anna yesterday from my sample pack. It looks much better on you๐๐ผ! Oh, and I found the clip๐
Yikes @eshoe! No wonder you found the clip! I usually post from my iPhone, but I just opened this up on my desktop and my head is practically life-sized! Lol!
As for the Viseart, I've had those palettes for quite a while. My only regret is I didn't get that huge matte palette last year. It was a tad pricey, though.
They are all pricey, @jozkid! And I donโt find them at discount retailers, either. When I read what palettes you used for this I was just kicking myself for not picking up more than one during the last sale.
Arenโt they though @eshoe? But they do last a super long time. Iโve only ever hit pan on one shade and that was in my very first palette (Neutral Mattes). And thatโs because I used it as a base shade Every. Single. Day.
I understand that, @jozkid. I mostly use mine as a topper ( I know itโs the opposite of how things should be) to my ND metallics. It tempers the brightness and adds a bit of mystery to the colors which I love. And I never get powder all over like I do with other palettes. Wish I could buy them all! I think some nice purple mattes would be good, are the dark mattes best for that or is there something else you would recommend?
I really love the Dark Mattes palette @eshoe. There are two purples in it โ one a red purple, the other a blue purple. But I really appreciate having a palette that can lend some depth to a look. There are also a few reds/oranges that do a surprisingly great job as a crease/transition shade, too. I look at the Viseart palettes not as stand alones, but as components that fill a niche.
Shiseido week continues! ModernMatte - Selfie 518
I need to check this lipstick @MissPuff It is stunning on you with your perfect application.
@MissPuff This raspberry-ish colour is great on you! AND look who's talking about @fatimamummy's crisp lip lines, you nailed this as well! So perfect!
@NotCrocker Thank you! Raspberry is exactly how it was described on the website! I'm so terrible at describing shades, I'm always like, it's...red...ish?
The shape of the bullet makes it super easy for the crisp line actually, I wish I could take more credit ๐
@MissPuff Love this color on you. It goes so nicely with your eyes. You must be a pro with that concealer as I don't see any flaws either.
Thank you @sprocketta ! I went a little nuts with the new shiseido lipsticks, the urge to pick up all the shades is strong!
Omg thatโs fabulous on you @MissPuff. I adore it. Also are you doing something different in your skin care routine because you are looking flawless
@jozkid I wish! I think it's overhead lighting, fortuitous shadow placement, and concealer, concealer, concealer ๐
Yess to this color, @MissPuff! Your brows and blush are pretty enviable, too, btw๐๐ผ
Thank you @eshoe! The blush is my much loved LE Suqqu Hanairoka Blush that I hunted down after missing out while in London. LOVE LOVE LOVE Suqqu blushes, wish they were available in the US!
If course itโs a LE, @MissPuff๐ i follow that thread and their palettes and colors are so pretty. I was just interested in the brushes but enjoy seeing all the shades. Sounds like they are fairly sheer, too, even though some colors seem a little intimidating. All that to say, glad you were able to hunt it down, itโs a great shade on you.
I happened to see these in the sale section here on Sephora ($9!!), and figured I'd give them a quick plug!
Buxom Shimmer Shock in Atomic Allure
High glitter, rich color but I'd say medium opacity, and super comfy. There's no gritty glitter feel, no bleeding, and they wear down gracefully. If you like sparkly, consider picking up a couple!
Now to decide if I'm going to pick up a few more. ๐
