100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

@alexasteph Killin’ It is one of the 4 Tarte Quick Dry mattes I had, along with Fly, Friyay, and... I don’t remember the 4th. I agree about the dryness—though for me it was overbearing. I’ve had bad luck with all the Tartiest lipstick lines. But if you can handle the dryness, that color’s worth keeping: even though it’s a bit darker in the photo than it really is, it looks good on you.

@WinglessOne Thank you! Yeah, I do think I like the color. So far it’s okay when dryness, but I’ve only been wearing it for like an hour. Thankfully it doesn’t seem so drying it’s cracking and pilling though! It seems overall this isn’t an overly successful formula, Killin It looks like it performs the best from what I’ve red.

@blackkitty2014 Thanks! It’s a nice color, I think it might just be a touch dry. But that’s why I’m testing it! I got it for cheap in an order and was like “Eh, sure” but have been a bit afraid to wear it in case it seemed a little dry. We’ll see!

Day 29: ColourPop Lippie Stix in Tuxedo

This color is really pretty and vibrant. I really thought that came through in my photo, but now uploading on the compy, it seems blah. I also thought I took some good photos in general, but I just look angry in ALL of them. Ooops. The glossy-ness wore off while eating and drinking, but it stained my lips pretty evenly. Worked out well for a Labor Day bbq.

It looks very vibrant to me on my iPad, @snoflakefaerie And I kinda like the contrast of the happy bright pink against your facial expression... your face looks exactly like mine in 90% of all photos I’ve taken in sunlight (no matter how much I try not to squint) so I feel you.

Oooh, that's the perfect Magenta on you ! @gonerogue Have you tried adding a red color on top? I have been looking for a Magenta Red for ages and can't seem to find the right shade so I think I might get 2 lippies to create one color. This one looks like a good magenta base  🙂

@Buootiful thanks! I have not tried layering a red on top of the magenta but I just might try it and take a picture to show you how it looks. I’ll be sure to keep an eye out in my collection for any magenta-reds for you 😉
