100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

@alexasteph I love love love this color on you.  The name is sort of off putting to me, like wiping actual chutney on your face, which wouldn't go well.  But it looks great on you!

@sprocketta Ha!! Thanks. Most of the Bite shades are food inspired though, since one of their selling points is they use food grade ingredients. I’m never really bothered by the names of things, unless it’s a literal name and I know someone with that name and I don’t like them or would feel weird wearing it.

Ahhh @alexasteph Chutney is one of my favourites and right now it feels like a welcome transition shade into fall! Love it on you!

@NotCrocker Thanks!! I love it too, it’s also one of my favorite shades. I was able to either get it as a reward or a promo, I can’t remember, but I liked it so much I placed a small order right after so I could redeem it again haha! It’s great when that happens.

I was so excited for my Day 7 that I completely skipped over Day 6! Oops...

So here's Day 6, if I remember correctly it's called "bare blush" and its from FLOWER beauty. I didn't like it when I first used it but I gave it a couple more tries and now I find it pretty. It's a sheer lip tint so it's a bit subtle but there is a little bit of glitter in it that catches your eye-in person. It doesn't show in the photo.

Really digging this color @WinglessOne. I'm kind of scared to buy a Pat McGrath lipstick for fear of not being able to stop purchasing them, but this color is so gorgeous, I might have to take a chance.

Thanks @snoflakefaerie! It’s a valid fear: I started with 2 PMGs and now I have 6, acquired within a very short timeframe. Pat is not helping my massive declutter effort. Or maybe she is, if I ditch all or most of my color dupes in formulas that don’t measure up to hers. See, when you look at it that way, it’s not so bad to purchase lots of them! 

Pretty sure similar logic is how I wound up with 300+ lipsticks in the first place... 😂 but I’ve knocked that number down to around 160, so it’s okay! (Heh, lipstick junkie logic.)

Not to mention if you truly love the formula/color @WinglessOne of these whether or not you need to get 2 of the same color for fear of discontinuation of your favorite lipstick. Thanks Marvelous Mrs Maisel for putting that idea in my head 🙂 @snoflakefaerie

@WinglessOne As others have said, it's amazing how well you wear unconventional colors.  This one is really lovely on you.

@WinglessOne I love this lip on you and the coordinating shirt. I am in a constant state of matching purples (hair, lips, shirt, jacket, shoes). It's become a real issue! My hair is finally starting to fade, so now at least I am less of a consistent shade from head to toe.

I also love the crisp line on your lip here, is this straight from the bullet? I need to start wearing my one PMG lipstick more!
