100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

@WinglessOne Purple looks really nice on you! You pull of unconventional colors really well. Usually it’s like “Oh, she’s wearing purple, blue, black lipstick” and you just notice that but it blends right in on you and looks totally natural!

Aw, thanks @alexasteph! Aside from conventional berries, I’m most comfy in unconventional colors. Well, not all unconventional colors... I fear super light pastel lipsticks, including ultra pastel pink. Even if one looks okay on me, I’m uncomfortable wearing it. It even took me a long time to warm up to nude pink lipsticks. 😄

@WinglessOne Oh I stay away from pastels as well. I can’t do anything lighter than my natural lip tone. Nude pinks are my jam though! Haha.

Another wear test today, and I think these might be declutters ☹️

I wore one yesterday (forgot a pic though), and really disliked the color, but wasn't terribly sold on the formula either...so I pulled out a color I know I love to give the formula a second chance. Not digging so far...it's a bit too dry for my taste, and cracks pretty quickly. I'm sure I have similar colors in finishes I like better, so I think all of these may be hitting my destash box.

@RGbrown The color looks great on you, so that's disappointing.  How many of the lip pencils do you have?  Getting rid of a lot at once would be such a bummer.

I've got 9 of them. Thankfully 4 are GWP minis, but somehow I still bought 5 full sized ones without paying attention to the fact that the formula just isn't for me 😒🤨🤦

This is such a pretty color on you @RGbrown, but if it’s too dry, then yes, time to let it go. Hoping you find a similar color that wears better. 🤞🏼
