100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

Hmmmm, honestly, it's not really something I've thought about. I avoid dryer formulas because I just don't like the feel, and if I'm not wearing lipstick, there's a lip balm practically glued to my hand for continual application, but I've never considered a size/shape factor in color vs neutral. You could always layer balm underneath, and continue topping with gloss like you do with the Fenty?

I like Jam on you!  But I understand what you mean about lipsticks that accentuate fine lines. It's too much trouble to try to make them work. @RGbrown

Yup, they can be a hassle! If I remember to wear this for a while before I leave the house, it's totally worth the time...it's just that I usually don't think about it early enough to let it work its staining magic lol.

I loooove the original shade too...until I smile. Then I look like a crazed zebra 😅 And my lovely soft lighting is hiding how badly it was highlighting a stubborn flaky spot. Fabulous color, but the formula doesn't work well for me, sadly ☹️

Day 4 is Crimson from Urban Decay. Another liquid lipstick. I didn't have any other makeup on so on went my bad a*s Batman shades 🙂 

Like @sprocketta said earlier, the formula dries quickly. Unfortunately, it also made me lips feel dried out. I also want to put on a full face and try this color, as well as see what it looks like outside of the fluorescent-light office atmosphere.

Yeah, the office atmosphere lighting is never quite as good as the sun, lol @Anonymous . I think Motorcycle Maven when I see this pic 🙂.

Day 14. Back to another favorite. Clinique long last glosswear in Tenderheart. My holy grail lipgloss. The perfect nude. Why did they discontinue it? I have one tube left.

Tues/Wed

Almost done with Tarte and Mac. I'm happy this challenge is forcing me to wear every single one I have. Plus, I don't have to think of which lipstick am I gonna wear? 🙂

Tues 8/21

Mac Lipstick in Russian Red. It is normally matte but I didn't have time to put the matching liner so I put it on top of Frank Body's lip balm. I didn't blot it out like I always do.

Wed 8/22

Tarte Tarteist creamy matte lip paint: Yaasss with Tarteist lipliner: on fleek. This combo is sooo fetch, lol :). I really love the formula and I guess if you keep it in your pocket it warms up to be liquidy. This did not go on patchy at all unlike Manbun. Not drying at all, @sprocketta and @RGbrown 🙂 It does transfer alot though.Tarteist Creamy matte lip paint : Yaasss

I forgot Tarte had two formulas of lip paint. I decluttered all of mine thinking they were mattes, but I need to double check now and see if any were the creamy variety!

Thank you ❤️ @keana1.I use the liner as a lippie as well and love to top it with gloss. It doesn't look as good as the lip paint by itself (kind of chalky) but I still like it. It got me to venture into unusual colors. I got the liner before I got the lip paint  🙂
