100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

For Day 2 I wore "Backtalk" from Urban Decay. My day 2 was a week ago but I haven't been posting. I'm not good at the posting every day thing 🙂

No pressure on posting every lipstick, everyday @Anonymous. I like this color on you. I'm pretty sure I have it, but I think it washes me out. I will have to try it out for the challenge to figure out if it's wearable.

Oooh, I got this too @snoflakefaerieas a gwp from Ulta and I havent tried it yet. Will probably get to it this weekend 🙂 It's fun to see the same lipstick look so different on other people 🙂

I made it three days before I missed a day. I knew it wouldn't last though anyway, I am going on vacation soon and will not be able to bring all my lippies. Lol

I checked and I think this is day 12. Using more of the UD Vice liquid ipsticks. Today in the shade Crimson. Really pretty but man does this set quickly and stain skin. I was scrubbing and wiping at a blotch outside my lip area for half of the morning. I ate a burger for lunch which conquered the errant pink patch. This is after reapplying. When I put it on again I noticed my lips were dry from it, even with primer. I like this, but you have to apply very carefully as it is not forgiving.

 Update: Lunch completely took away the color, which was understandable as it was a cheeseburger.  This afternoon I had a snack and was left with an awful ring of no color around the inside of my lips.  I had to take it off because it looked horrible.  Love the shade, but not the wear.  Bummer.

Bummer to hear about the wear @sprocketta. I often shy away from bold liquid lip colors because they just seem too difficult to wear during daily life. Like, I'm not going to not eat because my lipstick is too precious to handle it.

@snoflakefaerie Don't shy away from the bold colors.  You just have to find the right formula.  I prefer a cream/satin finish and those reds just need to be applied every so often.  If you don't mind reapplying, then those are the ones to go with.  Totally worth it and you don't have to worry about a long-lasting matte staining your face!

That sucks about the wear @sprockettaUnidentified have you tried dabbing it on in the middle so it doesn't dry too much? Also with erasing the mistakes, you could try a colorless lip balm or lip oil with a qtip.

With these stubborn lipsticks I also exfoliate and that helped a lot. That's what I did to keep rapid when I first tried these. Before then, it would come off completely like you described. I hope it might work for you cuz it is a great color on you😊
