rookie

what's this rookie mark by my status?

Re: rookie

its shows how involved you are with the community in conversations.

RE: rookie

The rookie mark is a ranking that indicates your activity level within the community @Anonymous. For example, the more you post and respond to other members, the higher you will rank. Furthermore, there are three tiers to each level and there are a total of 4 levels (Rookie, Rising Star, Go Getter, and Boss).

Re: RE: rookie

May I ask you whether the order of badges are: Rookie, Rising Star, Go Getter, and Boss? or Rookie, Go Getter, Rising Star, and Boss? I'm a rookie, so not sure how this ranking works? I was under the impression that Rising Star is higher than Go-getter!

Thank you 🙂

Re: RE: rookie

Re: RE: rookie

Thank you :))

Re: RE: rookie

How long does it take to reach the tiers?

Anonymous Insider

Thank you! I was kind of confused.

Thank you! I was kind of confused.

RE: rookie

Thank You was wanting to know!!

Re: RE: rookie

I'm wondering if/how the gratis gifts relate to the levels/ranks.  Like do you have to be at a certain level to even qualify to receive a gratis?  Does anyone know?

Re: RE: rookie

I was surprised to receive gratis last summer as I'm only a Rookie. As far as stats, I've got 30 posts, 5 photos, and 25 reviews but I still got the box. I've seen a few profiles where the lady had 1,000+ posts and yet was only the first tier of Go-Getter. I guess I'd like my status to change but not sure I can post thousands of times. Hmmm.

Re: RE: rookie

The gratis is definitely linked to your status.  I noticed the more hearts you get and the more followers, the more likely they will pick you.  Feel free to heart and follow me 😉

Re: RE: rookie

@Anonymous That is not true at all. It is about participation through out the various parts of Sephora. Gallery, Reviews, and Community.

Re: RE: rookie

The gratis has to be linked to your status because they don't give gratis to Rookies.  Some people said no matter how active they are that their status never changes.  I would have to guess that hearts and followers are what helps your status change.  Just my observations...

Re: RE: rookie

it has to do with hearts and replies.

Re: RE: rookie

I wasn't thinking about the replies, but that makes sense too.

Re: RE: rookie

LOL right?

Re: RE: rookie

Very well explained, thank you! I didn’t realize there were 4 levels so that was very helpful.

Re: RE: rookie

Hey!

I was wondering the same thing; so once we start to get involved our status will just go up? Is there a certain expectation of how much we have to post or get involved to have it go up?

Thank you!!

Re: RE: rookie

@samrakazi Yes, the more you post in the community, post reviews on the website, and post looks in the galleries then your status eventually changes. There used a be thread where people documented how many posts and hearts they had at certain level changes, but I haven't seen it in a while. The actual metrics for the changes in status seem somewhat flux and dependent on different factors and aren't entirely predictable.

Re: RE: rookie

does it have to do with how much product you buy?
