During the events in which you get 2x-4x the points; during which time it is best to shop if you shop for points. If you are VIB or VIB Rouge you get that often and then they give you 15%-20% off sale on everything. Also if you have the play by sephora you get a card for free 50 points w/ any purchase. Ex: If you get double the points on 30 dollar item. You know you get 60 points plus the 50, and now you have 110 points. If the points are 4x, using the same 30 dollar item, 120 plus the 50 points; and now you have 170.

I definitely think this will e harder now that points will expire, but some people have been shopping with Sephora for years and have never spent their points.

@ Kane14, that's not exactly true. The points do not expire as long as you don't become inactive for more than 18 consecutive months. If you buy something or redeem points within an 18 month time span you keep your points.

@Kane14 Points only expire if someone is inactive for a year. Inactive means that they haven't redeemed points, their birthday gift, and/or haven't bought anything. They also send emails to people at risk of having their points expire. I don't think the point expiration issue will affect many people, especially not people who are active enough to have thousands of points.

It's definitely possible. 🙂 Some of us spend thousands of dollars a year, because we have the income to be able to. Some capitalize on the 2-4x point events. It also isn't all accumulated in one year. A lot of us have been buying beauty products for years. It adds up over time!

I know some people grouping themselves and they share one single account. This adds up so much points esp online shopping. One downside is that there's only one card and hard to share with your group when you physically shop at the store.

if you don't have your card they just ask for your email, so that probably makes it easier for them. But that's a great idea if you have a group of friends who all love make-up and commit to saving points together,

They have a good amount of disposable income. Plus you have to factor in 2-4x points events. Plus some ppl save there points for a few years
