What did you trial and then buy?

I have to admit, I've been loving the foils and trial sizes provided when I buy online. I have so many to try! What items have you tried out from a foil or trial size and ended up buying? Alternatively, what were you glad to try but didn't buy and why? I'll start. *I tried the foils of Ouai Repair shampoo and conditioner and bought them. I enjoy them so far. *I tried a trial of the Sephora Eye Makeup Remove and *will* buy it once my container of Mary Kay is empty. *I tried the trial size of Ren Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask and had an allergic reaction to it! (hives). I loved the brightness of my skin, but I'm allergic to an ingredient in it. What about you?

@jozkid Oh I got this sample too and was just thinking about how to use it! My color is growing out and I'm torn between growing out my natural color for the summer, or going back in to re-wreck my hair for another season 🙂 How did you apply it? It looked very liquidy in the bottle...

Ooohhh, I wonder how close that is to the dpHue ACV rinse? I've got a travel of it that I've used a few times and was shocked at how much I like it. It's supposed to be really good for color-treated hair too, and I keep thinking I should pull out my red, so I've been saving the rest for whenever I color it up 😄

I had a sample of the bareMinerals COMPLEXION RESCUE® Tinted Moisturizer with Hyaluronic Acid and Mineral SPF 30 Bamboo 5....and picked up the full size a few days later. I instantly fell in love with its gel cream formula. I also had a trial size of the  BAREMINERALS - Gen Nude Patent Liquid Lipstick - Everythingand it became an instant staple in my lippie collection! 🙂

Youth To The People Superfood Air-Whip Lightweight Face Moisturizer with Hyaluronic Acid 2 oz / 59 m... - I bought a full size before my DS was empty. 😂 This is my PM moisturizer. I’ve also been using it in the AM lately, though I prefer something a bit more lightweight for daytime. 

BELIF - Moisturizing Eye Bomb - I got an in-store sample of this and the Fresh rose eye cream to test against each other, and Belif won by a landslide. (I hated the Fresh eye cream.) I used this day and night. But recently, I’ve switched to other moisturizers (Biossance eye gel in the AM, Kora eye oil in the PM) that work even better for me. 

FIRST AID BEAUTY - Facial Radiance Pads - These were my first “let’s try chemical exfoliation” product. They’re so gentle, they really eased my skin into acids. 

Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta® Universal Daily Peel Pads 30 Treatments + 5 Bonus - I got a free 5-treatment box and loved them enough to buy more. 

JO MALONE LONDON - Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne - When samples are available via promo code, I sometimes add one to my order just so I’ll have minis for travel, so I don’t have to decant my FS bottle. 

Beautyblender blendercleanser® solid Lavender - When a DS cleaned a couple of my goat and synthetic brushes without wrecking them, I bought a FS. I’ve also stocked up on more DS discs via promo codes, and discovered this stuff also cleans my squirrel brushes with no damage. 

MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Color Pencil Longwear Lip Liner 606 Wherever Walnut - A DS or 2 convinced me to buy full sizes in various colors.

I have to say with all the hype over the bum bum cream I was super excited to sample that, but like a lot of samples or point perks things end up not having me fall in love. The belief aqua bomb I got a sample of and have purchased and repurchased a few times now!

Great question! I would say of the majority of samples I receive, especially skin-care, end up being meh for me. Sometimes the Sephora point awards and birthday gifts turn out well. Off the top of my head, I liked the Hourglass no.28 primer and definitely any Bite sample or foil. I also get a lot of fragrance samples. I'm so picky I don't love the vast majority enough to buy.

@l8totheparty  I've been going through my Paula's Choice samples with great success.  I tried their AHA 8% gel and loved it - so I bought the full size.  I also tried their Brightening Essence and really love it - so I also bought the full size of that.  I their Un-Scrub and it wasn't gritty enough for me as the beads dissipated; but I think this would be a great bet for most other people.  Next, I'll be trying their toners.
