Sephora Rewards Bazaar Previews and Discussions

A thread for updates on the Rewards Bazaar, including previews of upcoming rewards and discussion regarding the upcoming rewards and questions.

 

New rewards are posted on Tuesdays and Thursdays - usually right around 9 am PST / 12 pm EST

General information:

  • The Rewards Bazaar is supposed to have new point perks released on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9 am and 5pm PST
  • There is no set time for the perks to be released - we have to wait and see when they become available between 9 and 5
  • However, so far the rewards have been released almost exactly around 9 am PST
    There seem to be only a few perks added at a time (each day)
  • Some perks will be listed as "coming soon" and may arrive on a later date
  • The newly added perks will range from 100 points to 50,000 points
    Sephora's T&C state that the larger perks (750 points +) are only available online
  • The smaller 100-500 point perks are available in store, while supplies last There are limited quantities of the perks available
  • We aren't sure why the rewards seem to appear on different devices/browsers at different times There may not be any "big" point perks added.
  • Some days we may only see smaller 100, 250, or 500 point perks added.
  • Updated Terms & Conditions (as of August 16, 2016):

I've never had this much trouble redeeming the $100 reward before.  Very tempted to clear out my points and take my $$ else where.  I can buy my Drunk Elephant directly from DE and Nordstrom carries almost everything else Sephora does.

This is so ridiculous all the $$$$$ i spend. Im seriously thinking about dealing with ulta there point system is soooo much better then sephora.

@Desii190   rewards bazaar has been a huge let down lately. They hardly have anything available. I used to get so excited for the Tuesday and Thursday drops but now it seems like were lucky to see 1-2 rewards items. The "big" Hourglass rewards were such a joke, too. 3 minis for 1000 points?! It would have been worth it if one of them was full size, but it was practically laughable. I would love to see way more full size products, and 500-750 point sets. They also need to offer more substantial rewards for high points values. There's hardly any benefit to shopping with Sephora lately.

@bakeamuffin Finally!! I’m so happy someone agrees!! If Sephora is gonna ask for anything over 1,000 points then we should have the chance to at least receive one full size product! Especially, since most of us are spending over a 1,000 plus dollars a year! We need more bang for our points!

I chatted with a customer service rep (Dominique) and asked why we can't find any new rewards lately, especially on the Canadian site. She told me: "You can find a variety of new rewards in store. Sadly, we do not add new rewards that often on our Canadian site. New rewards will get posted in the future just not every week. It more likely will be once a month".

 

That's pretty disappointing to hear; has anyone else heard of this new policy for the Rewards Bazaar?

Hmm I’m able to find some good rewards at the Bloor-Yonge location in Toronto. I got the Moschino mini bear fragrance for 250pts there after it was sold out online. Was surprised to find it there and very happy I did! @ncp2000 @TinisaurusRex

LOL never ever any rewards when I shop in store either. Sephora just doesn’t care anymore, especially about us Canadians.

Just wanted to edit and add the actual quote: "New rewards will get posted in the future just not every week. It more likely will be once a month or every few months." Even more disappointing... (btw, when I expressed my disappointment, she gave me 75  rewards points... which are becoming virtually useless Smiley Happy

Got a confirmation from Sephora FB team that the perfume is only 5ml and not the 1oz that rep over the phone told me.

Chloé 250 pts reward lands to a 1oz size when clicked from basket. I called customer service and they confirmed it is 1oz ( a little unbelievable honestly) My daughter just ordered it through her account. Now I hope kid gets a 1oz perfume and not that tiny little 0.17oz bottle.

@cangirl84  Invoice doesn’t say anything about the size either but I just received a response from Sephora Face book team. They checked with the warehouse and the size is in fact only 5ml and not 30ml/1oz that the rep told me on phone. 😏 I have requested them to cancel the order.

$50 dollar reward finally popped up after refreshing since before 12. Added to basket, went to checkout, won't let me, then tells me it's out of stock. Not impressed.

I remember back in June getting a $100 reward wasn't anything hard. I snagged one before my birthday and was pretty happy with it. Recently it seems that this reward becomes extremely elusive -- and other rewards are mediocre at best -- which makes me feel like I'm not rewarded but...punished...by my desire to get an actual reward. So I made my mind that I'm gonna get another $100 as my last one today: I started refreshing the page constantly since 8:59, and I did successfully get it. After spending this $100 which left me with several points only -- off to Ulta & a million other stores, here we go.

 

I've been a rouge member since 2014 when I was still in college, and finally I just can't be bothered and don't feel like it's worthy anymore. I just want a simple reward system in which I don't need to hunt for anything. It's too much & I don't want a competitive shopping experience ( ??? Doesn't it sound ridiculous??? ) anymore.
