Play beauty insider points

This may seem like a silly question, I have vib status and subscribe to play. It says vib get 1.25 beauty insider points for every dollar spent. Every month I get 3 points applied to my account for the play box, if my math is correct and the play box is $10 shouldn’t I be getting 15 points every month? Am I wrong? If not is anyone else experiencing this problem?

1.25 points would be the 10 an an additional 2.5, which I guess gets rounded to 3. 1.5 points would give you a total of 15.

I have also noticed my points don’t add up with the purchase. I made a $78 purchase before tax and got 58 points. How are these points added up?
