I'm developing a love for brushes of all kinds. I bought a few higher end brushes and they are amazing. They are incredibly soft and my makeup glides on like a dream. There are so many interesting shapes. I am really interested in creating a beautiful brush collection. Show your brushes and share any cleaning and storage tips and let us know which ones are your favorites.
@peculiarzmakeup @My go to bronzer and blush brush is from Tom Ford. Itโs the best I have tried for my round face and really soft too. I have had them for a really long time and they are still in great condition. They are not cheap though.
@peculiarzmakeup, if you have a Cosmetics Company Store near you, they sell Tom Ford and other Estee Lauder brands at a discount. You might find a Tom Ford brush there. Many years ago, I purchased Bobbi Brown brushes there at a significant discount (my HG foundation brush is BB's Full Coverage Face brush and for hard-to-pick-up powder formulas, BB's Blush Brush picks them up every time).
Haven't played with them yet, but I suspect strong love, especially for the fan. Super silky to the touch.
@danielledanielle I hope all 3 brushes work well for you!
Ever since Beautylishโs teaser email, Iโve tried to fight the โmust own ALL the keyaki brushesโ inner voices. I did I pass up a couple earlier keyakis, so youโd think skipping these 3 would be easy. Alas, I keep looking at Soniaโs write-up and photos, especially of the TF3 aka the fluffiest candle brush (once itโs washed a few times) Iโve ever seen. That one will eventually end up in my cart and Iโll use some reward points on it.
And if Iโm gonna add that TF3, why not also add the TF1? I might not really actually need it, considering everything else in my brush hoard, but Sonia says itโs big fluffy airy and a bit denser than most big fluffy brushes, and thatโs hard to ignore. Iโm very interested to hear your thoughts on this brush in particular, once youโve used it a few times. ๐
So, I "tried" to avoid this one by not reading her blog @WinglessOne (& will do)
And definitely air quotes because honestly ๐ซฃ
I was ok! Then, guess what? They actually did pre-orders this time around and when the question came between individual and a set, I...I...I did what I did ๐คฃ. I was thinking similarly, T3 is unique and T1 is gorgeous. It'd be wrong to leave T2 out. Ugh, I'm weak, but happy.
@danielledanielle Ah, the pre-order strikes again! Beautylish got me that way with a different Sonia G. set I initially had no intention of buying; Iโd planned to buy individual brushes, so I signed up for notification without knowing Iโd be so tempted to buy all of them once I was texted. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ I didnโt sign up this time, otherwise Iโd also probably have all 3 of these brushes right now. Because itโs one thing to buy just 2 of 3 brushes yourself on the website, but when a rep texts you for purchase, itโs harder to say โyeah, I only want 2 of the 3 kidsโ and not feel some kinda way about it. ๐ซ
And really, Sonia does almost too good a job describing her brushes and comparing them to others (including other brandsโ sometimes). I love that but my wallet doesnโt. Though sheโs also said โyou donโt really need [new brush z] if you already have my [brush x]โ a few times, and I greatly appreciate her honesty. Itโs one of the reasons I buy her brushes in the first place.
Thank you @TraceyEB & @curlychiquita , they are washed and ready to go
These are beauties. I will pretend I didnโt see your post. Enjoy @danielledanielle and please report back how you like these ๐

@makeitup305 , thoughts? I feel like this is a pass, they've released a similar cheek brush (saibihoko )not too long ago, and they also had an angled version of the saibihoko brush that I hope comes back.
@danielledanielle I didn't pick it up or either of the saibihokos. I just didn't feel like I needed it. Maybe I'll need it later this year ๐
I wanted to recommend the most recent product I used to wash my brushes. It's from a Korean brand called the Tool Lab. You can find it on Amazon or Olive Young. I washed all of these brushes using the two 1.69 fl oz containers in the second picture. They're $8 each, so pretty expensive, but they go a long way. They rinse clean (no suds) and leave the brushes very soft. I'm definitely buying the larger sizes so I can get a better value.
Wow that's pretty good mileage out of the smaller bottles! Gonna have to add this to my list โจ
@ThenTheresPoe they sell them on Amazon and Olive Young, which is a Korean beauty website.

@danielledanielle Soniaโs blog post is up now and dang it, these are 4 brand new brush shapes (though a couple look similar to other Sonia G. brushes). And theyโre kakishibu dyed bristles, with Sunset Cranes shaped black handles. And I wish one of them (Smooth Blender) was available separately; Iโd happily buy that one solo.
Gonna read through Soniaโs comparisons now and try to talk myself off this ledge. Is anyone else thinking of buying this set?
EDIT: I hadnโt scrolled all the way through her write-up, so I missed the box these come in. Now I wish the previous LE set had cranes on the box. This 4-brush set is USD $210 and will hit Beautylish at 10 AM PT on June 25, so set your alarms for bot battle!
