Learning our A, B, C's: The Sephora BIC Beauty Edition

Hey BIC, we're one week into the new year! Winter break is just about over for a lot of kids with many heading back to the classroom tomorrow (Monday) or soon, if they haven't already started back up. Thought I'd bring back a fun, favorite game from a few years ago with school picking back up. This will be a little lesson in Learning our  A, B, C's: The BIC Beauty Edition.

WHAT ARE WE DOING?:

* Basically, we will be going through the alphabet with beauty products, with the applicable letter being either (1) the first letter in the brand's name or (2) the first letter of the product's name. 

     - For example, for A - A can be for amika Soulfood Nourishing Hair Mask  (A = Amika) or A can be for Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray Jumbo 8.11 oz / 240 mL  (A = All Nigher Spray)

     - The next person will tag a product or brand that begins with B and then the next person will tag a product/brand that begins with C, then D, E, F, .... until we get to Z, and then we start over again! 

HOW TO PLAY:

* Look for the most recent comment to the original post

* Take your turn, by hitting "Reply" to original post and replying directly to that  main post (and not to the most recent comment)

* In your reply, be sure to:

    -- tag the product with the hashtag - #<<type name of product>>

    -- tag the person you are replying to with @ + the user name of the most recent comment

* When we get through the alphabet, we'll start over again with "A"

* There will be items repeated, but it would be great if we try to avoid repeating a product on the same page you're on.

* Optional: add a fun fact about the product you're tagging - what do you love about it, or if there was a reason you chose it (other than it being the next letter) - it's a favorite/holy grail product, it's a product you've been wanting to try, etc.

TO START:

* I will" reply" to the original / main post and tag a product or brand that begins with the letter A

* The next person will also "reply" to the original / main post but this person will tag a product or brand that begins with the letter B (also, remember to tag me - @itsfi)

* The next person will then also "reply" to the original / main post, but this person will tag a product or brand that begins with the letter C (and remember to tag the person who posted the letter B product / brand)

* We will continue in this way until we get to Z and then the next person will start back with the letter "A", with everyone replying to the original / main post.

The original tag game was created by our amazing @AlexBT, who was gracious and enthusiastic when giving me the okay when I checked in with her about reviving this. Thank you for coming up with this fun and fabulous idea in the first place - it was a blast when you introduced it in 2020 (All Aboard the Tag Train: Play Along), and I'm hoping it will be so again this year. Would love to see you and others on @TeamBIC join in, along with the rest of the beauties on BIC.

@Mellmars1185 I'm intrigued by this. I don't think I've ever used zinc in beauty products to my knowledge.

Definitely counts @Mellmars1185! Nice one! Over the last few years of dealing with cystic acne and periodic breakouts that came all too regularly, I realized that zinc was good for my skin's health.

I believe that U was skipped so I will post a true classic Urban Decay Naked3 Soft Pink Eyeshadow Palette Naked3 . I remember purchasing this the day it was released. I used it constantly for quite awhile.

Those UD Naked palettes sparked a lot of neutrals palettes back in the day @Loretta55, which was fine by me because I loved a good neutral palette then ... well, I still do, actually. 😆 What's a palette you've been loving of late?

I have been using NATASHA DENONA I Need a Nude Eyeshadow Palette , NATASHA DENONA Mini Starlette Palette and an old time favorite for one and done Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer @itsfi . I always tightline using Hourglass 1.5MM Mechanical Gel Eye Liner Canyon . I have at least half a dozen as back ups.

For X, the first thing that comes to mind is a discontinued favourite 😭 the Stila XXL Magnum Mascara. I loved that one, but it hasn’t been available for a while unfortunately. 

ill have to go with the MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliner . I don’t wear pencil liner often, but these come in beautiful colors and I’ve always had luck with their staying power!

@cianni I agree that they have really nice liners. I may need to pick one up next time I need to purchase liner! 🙂

@PrettyPaint Liner is definitely one of those purchases I don’t make too often, but when I do, I need to make sure it works otherwise I’m looking like a raccoon by mid day!

Oh no @cianni, it's so frustrating (and sad) when a product you love is discontinued. 😣 I tend to go with liquid eyeliners but MUFE does make some great liners so I may need to try out one of their liners from this range. Er, after the low buy / no buy though - I have a handful of liquid eyeliners to try out first. Of the different colors that MUFE offers in this liner range, which one catches your eye?

@itsfi I quite like their shimmer finishes! I don’t find them overly glittery, more of a satiny shimmer finish. I really like the burgundy and navy shades. I find they really suit brown eyes

Oh, a satiny shimmer finish sounds gorgeous @cianni! And, right up my alley. I'll definitely check out the navy. The burgundy sounds fabulous - it's my favorite color but alas, it doesn't seem to work well for me when it comes to eye products. We'll see; start off with the navy first ... at some point, and then go from there! Plan assembled! 😃

W is for a few things! Some Jo Malone faves come to mind… Jo Malone London Wild Bluebell Cologne and Jo Malone London Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne 🩵 Wild Bluebell is one of my favourite transitional spring fragrances.

bit of a stretch but I want to add in Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter Wattabrat as an honorable mention. It’s my absolute favourite blinding, fun, extra blush topper!

@cianni @Georgiiiaaa - Wild Bluebell is lovely!  It's a great summer fragrance, though I use it year round.
