Hair ER

I am in need of a good hair routine to help stimulate new growth and eliminate hair from falling out. I’ve never had this problem in my 42 yrs but, I recently had surgery, and since my hair is falling out by the clumps ….and I’m not sure what shampoo and conditioner do you use or is there any awesome supplements that can help with New hair growth

also, how do I get the boxes of samples that everyone advertises?

thank you greatly in advance ladies xoxo

Re: Hair ER

@MOMluv  It’s pretty common for a shock to the system (surgery new medication, extreme pain, stress) to cause temporary hair loss (tellagen effluvium)  on the bright side the hair loss WILL stop if the cause of the shock isn’t repeated.  On the downside, it can feel like the hair will never stop falling and, when it does, it can take up to a year for your hair shed to grow back and in about three  months you will be dealing with spiky baby hairs (they look horrid but they’re encouraging). Just spray a spoolie with hairspray to tame them.

In the meantime, to help stimulate hair growth, give yourself scalp massages (rosemary oil is great for stimulating hair follicules and it smells great) get some vitmain b6, iron and zinc in your diet.  Exercise for optimal circulation…. Oh and if you’re feeling self conscious about how thin it is (I know it can get pretty darn thin during a TE episode), use root touch up spray (or brow powder but the spray transfers less) near your part and wherever your scalp is showing and a spoolie to soften the intensity of it.  It helps with your confidence while you’re waiting for the hair to regrow.

Re: Hair ER

Hair loss could be a medical thing more then shampoo and conditioner. Some studies say any deficiencies of vitamin B-6, B-12, biotin, vitamin D, or vitamin E can cause hair loss issues. You could ask your doctor about what you should take.
