Face 101: Foundation for Yellow Undertone, Combo Skin

Hi! I have yellow undertones, combination skin and no foundation; do you guys have any suggestions of foundations that apply to my yellow undertone and combination skin?

I have tried..

+ MUF Ulta HD, which was a little too yellow for me. 

+ NARS All Day Luminous, which oxidized and turned me a little pink/orange. 

+ Benefit Cosmetics Hello Flawless, which also oxidized.

What sort of coverage are you looking for? I also have yellow undertones and combo skin and right now I'm really enjoying Armani Luminous Silk, which is ultra lightweight and what I'd consider light coverage for one pump/pass. I've also had luck with Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF 15 (the liquid version), which is average weight and light-medium coverage (closer to medium), and Laura Mercier Silk Creme, which comes in at least a couple heavily yellow shades as well as yellow-neutral and is medium-full coverage (there are two versions, one for more dry-leaning skin and one for more oily-leaning skin; I've only tried the former and it's pretty creamy as far as foundations go). I never noticed any oxidization issues, though my experience with the last is more limited (to the product before it was reformulated—at which point I chose a shade that was too yellow ). Armani has a color match tool on their site if you know your shade in certain other products, otherwise doing Color IQ might be useful (or posting your MAC shade to see if someone might have the same). I haven't used their foundations personally, but Shiseido and Koh Gen Do are likely good brands as far as undertone due to being Asian manufacturers (also Shu Uemura, depending on which country you're in).

I have similar issues because I'm normal skin with olive, yellow undertones. cover fx, fenty, & Sephora foundation match me perfectly! it is challenging for me to find my shade in other brands. These have worked beautifully.

I would most def try the new Fenty foundation. There are colors specifically for yellow undertones.
