I love seeing other peoples empties! So I decided to make a board where people could post pictures of their empties, or just tell us about them! I'd also be interested in knowing whether you're repurchasing anything or not.
I love looking at other people's trash here is mine:
- L'Occitane crème- went through this rather quickly but already bought another one
- Tatcha hand cream- I already bought the full size
- TNS eye cream sample - this was a nice, light cream but wish it came in a pump or tube and not a jar.
- Chanel Sublimage eye cream: I really saw a difference using this but sometimes had it "pill" a bit on my skin. I would definitely repurchase if it came in a pump.
- Vichy deodorant- this worked really well but the scent was kind of masculine. I prefer the sensitive/unscented version
- Kerastase hair cream- worked well and not as heavily scented as most of their products. I may repurchase if I don't try something new instead
- Algenist cream- I really liked the texture of this one, might buy a full size
- CereVe lotion- I had to mix this with a heavier cream because it wasn't enough on it's own but liked the exfoliation
Would not repurchase:
- chanel hand cream- not really moisturizing enough for me but I was determined to finish it because I liked the scent and I like the packagin. It took well over a year so I am surprised I actually finished it. I used a lot of other products in the interim that I liked better.
Ooh you liked the Tatcha hand cream!? I have uber dry skin in the winter (sensitive) on my hands, and I have been wanting to give this a try. Trying to use my lotions and potions in the cupboard first! Love to hear what you think of the Tatcha...
I only had a deluxe sample/ travel size so don't have extensive experience. When I first tried it I thought it didn't do much and stuck it in a drawer, then revisited it and used it exclusively for a couple of days. I noticed my hands didn't dry out as much as usual after washing. It feels light but actually seems quite moisturizing, if that makes sense. It's been a few weeks so don't remember about scent, but I liked that it was a blue-grey color but faded instantly. It kind of looks like blueberry yogurt Tatcha offers free shipping on all orders as well as ability to choose samples and they sell "travel" sizes of a lot of the products including hand cream. I got it is a promo so not sure of the cost. Full size is $30 or $40, I think. Pricey, but I liked it enough to buy the full size.
I love looking through other people's trash as well. This is one of my favorite threads.
I got a foil of that L'Occitane a while back and really liked it. One day, I will buy it.
I seem to have been near empty of a lot of stuff last month!
Items to repurchase:
neostrata exfoliating crystals and activator set
neostata smoothing cream - Neostrata is the skincare brand I trust the most to give me results. I'll rarely sway from this brand cause it works and why mess with what works?
living proof shampoo and conditioner - I have maybe one use left of the shampoo. I always use more conditioner than shampoo. I love how this shampoo makes my hair. It almost feels thicker- like there's a layer of something on the shaft, but it never feels heavy or weighed down. My hair is definitely better after using this.
Dr Brandt pores no more this stuff is better than benefit porefessional. I bought the full size!
tarte maracuja c+brightener. I loved the creamy consistency of this and it kept my eyes moisturized all night. I have tons of eye samples right now as well as a full sized shiseido eye cream so it will be a while before I need to repurchase.
Not so fond of/ dislike
well, I will never buy tanning lotions again. I am just using up residual lotions from my stupidity days as nighttime lotions.
I hated the Supergoop! I couldn't even force myself to use it. It felt like plastic on my skin. Shudder!
I can't say I liked the Lancôme deoderant either. Too chalky.
Everything else I'm indifferent to.
Lancome has a deodorant? I had no clue.
I've been meaning to try my Living Proof stuff, but it will have to wait until I've used up more of my open stuff.
I am so impressed with all of your empty perfume vials. I have never emptied a single perfume (not even those simple mini vial samples), so I am going to make it a point to do that soon.
Yeah, they do! Lol! I got it at a drugstore on a whim of curiosity. It's supposedly moisturizing but I couldn't get over the chalkiness of it.
I'm stopping myself from buying hair products til I use up what I have as well. They're one of those things that if I get a new one as a back up, I'll end up opening it and forgetting about my half empty stuff.
The perfume vials I've been working at. I keep deciding on one and won't touch another til it's empty. Only fifty something of them to go! 😅 I can't seem to ever get through all the vials. One day I will find a sample too amazing to resist buying.
I really liked the replica one. If I were to choose a perfume now, it would win. I think I will hold off on perfume til the perfume bonus points sale. I'll deserve one by then I imagine.
Tracking my empties again! I'm just listing loves/hates and the items I don't list are my "neutral/undecided" items.

And on top of all these I got through a bunch of candles - 27 tea lights, a large Yankee Candle, and 2 Glade holiday candles. I think I'll take a picture of those too next time.
I'm hooked on the mask, although honestly I prefer it for summertime! And thanks; I'm making an effort to get through at least one foil a day for a while because my stash is insane.
I am holding out hope that I will eventually get some of that Beauty Protector. January will be my 12th box and I still have not sampled that line.
Oh no to not liking the Green Apple peel (have too many open ones to try this anytime soon). What went wrong?
I got it in my first box and this is the third bottle I've finished since. I hope you get to try it too!
The peel was a runny mess. It ran out of the bottle like water when I opened it and was tough to apply. Then I didn't like the smell, and it didn't appear to actually do anything (though it stung in the more sensitive areas of my skin). So it was a total bust for me.
I'm so amazed that y'all are able to hang on to your empties! My OCD kicks in right away and I have to recycle the bottles, jars, packaging, etc...
The only ones I can hang on to are the empty Lush pots so that I can take them back to the store.
i keep a sephora bag from the vib sale last year with 2 small gift bags (1 for foils, 1 for deluxe samples and then full size roam free) inside under my vanity. as i finish something i put them directly in there. that way i can't see them but i can hold them for empties!
I agree with the lovely Sparkle. I have terrible OCD. However, I have a large bag under the sink that I only see when I open the cabinets. Out of sight. Out of mind. It works for me.
Hi ladies! I'm a mostly lurker here, but hoping to participate more as time allows! I am such a hoarder, I have a hard time using things up, even samples, but I am inspired by your empties thread! I have a few that I've just finished, so here they are! I'm going to try to keep doing this.
lush jasmin and henna conditioning treatment' smells great, great for my long hair
phyto 7- awesome very day treatment for ends
batiste dry shampoo - I can usually find at to maxx for instead of 8 at ulta
Slatkin body wash was- amazing scent
lancome bi-facil - always good, I have a bunch more deluxe sizes already
sk-III essence - this was great but probably not worth the cost while retin-a is making my skin look great
La prairie moisturizer - good but can't justify the price
Just saying no:
D&G matte foundation sample - nice but didn't last as well as others
glamglow eye sample - ok, not worth purchasing for me
fekkai glossing conditio
looking forward to more empties soon!
