Earn points code not valid for same day delivery products

Why isn’t the Earnpoints code valid on same day delivery products? I can get it online delivered or in store but same day delivered is excluded? I thought Sephora was trying to get people to sign up for same day unlimited. I’m still in my trial but if it’s going to exclude me randomly from point promotions, I’ll cancel.
