Bonus sale day, sale price not working

I put some of today’s (bonus day of 50% off day) sale in my cart, and when I went to check out, with plenty of time before the end of the day, one of the items no longer showed the sale price, although the other item in my cart still shows the 50% off price. When I search for the sale item, it shows as 50% off, but when I click on the individual item, it goes back to full price. Frustrating, because I went to the store to try the shade before buying.
