I know some people are getting this year  birthday gift specific Nars set by fake accounts mean fake birthday since sephora does not verify the birthday. I think they created several accounts with the same birthday months, then getting gifts in the same time. They get them to resell it in another country. I wish sephora verify the information of accounts before letting them become a beauty insider.

As a December birthday, this irritates me because I really hope there's enough stock to last until I can redeem it! I know once you create the initial profile you have to call into customer service in order to change your birthday, but I'm not sure what other measures they are taking to prevent the abuse online. Definitely something for them to consider, maybe it would help if the birthday gift option only pops up for the second transaction to at least establish a history?

Same. My birthday month is December too, but it doesn't matter if everyone gets their gifts for their REAL birthday. Now, i saw so many people are reselling the birthday gift set with dozens of them available. The value of the gift is reduced because of that.
