@mztmI don't think they send an email until a day or two before it goes live. I somehow managed to get actual physical mail for this one -- a first for me! It was quite the lovely surprise to see an envelope from Sephora. There have been some inconsistencies in the past with some ppl getting physical mail and some ppl not getting it.

Ya, I wonder if they have improved how the single-use codes work on the backend more & are now able to safely just give us this generic code that only works once for each of us? Either way, easier to remember this at checkout than copy/pasting a long weird custom code in.

In an ideal world, this would be a one-off 'gift card' code (and you'd think that would work, since it's associated with a $ amount) that we could use in that field instead of the promo code field, enabling us to get a promo item *and* the discount, but oh well. I'm happy with it still!

Size is 3ml. Based on the $255 price for the 15 ml full size this sample is worth $51. If you're already planning to spend $45 on Black Friday or other items, this is a pretty good code to use!

Edit:  this sample likely (not for sure but a safe assumption) does not come with a version of the metal applicator that the full-size one does & the applicator is part of the value, so that figure above is likely a bit ... generous. The applicator, tbh, is likely the driving force behind a fair amount of the depuffing effect, too, so if that's a major concern, it not being included kind of drives the value down a bit further.

But, it's still La Mer and one of the best codes we've got going, so there ya go.

I like your Edit part. And I agree with it. 

I'm always debating between getting freebies with codes and stop increasing my footprint on the planet (post deliveries, packaging). I just don't understand how Sephora doesn't see that using multiple codes in one order will help them to decrease shipping costs (and boxesand all the handling). I don't think that a lot of people will split orders for samples, however, for codes we do.
