Becca Pearl highlighter is pretty fantastic for pale princesses. Also Jeffree Star skin frost in lavender snow and ice cold.

I like the Too Faced Candlelight Glow in Rosy Glow since it's light enough to show and isn't too warm or golden

if you're looking for a cream-type illuminator (and something subtle), take a look at rms living luminizer - provides a nice glow and wakes up the face a little without being over the top. i apply with my fingers, so it really couldn't be much easier.

@alexiagreen I find the most flattering highlight for my very pale skin is the Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Highlighter. It is very natural, but still glowy. It builds nicely. For a cream highlight I like the Clinique Chubby highlight in Hefty Highlight. These are both nice because you can see the shine, but not any color on the skin.

Some other nice ones are Becca Pearl, Laura Geller Diamond Dust and Charming Pink, and NARS Copacabana.

The Tarte exposed highlight is beautiful for pale to lighted skinned people. It is definitely one of my favorites.

The Becca pressed highlighters are my holy grail highlighters, you can use it sparingly for a lighter look or layer it on to get a super intense highlight. I'm pale too and the colors champagne pop and pearl are great for my skin tone.

I agree with the Becca highlighter suggestion. However, I think that the poured or liquid formulas would be much more subtle than the pressed version. The pressed skin perfector is my favorite Becca formula, though, so it would still be a good idea to see if it's subtle enough for you.

For colors, I would recommend looking at Champagne Pop (my favorite), Moonstone, Pearl, and Opal. I think those shades would look the best on pale skin.

@alexiagreen  If you are looking for a subtle highlight, then I agree with the recommendation of Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer below.  It gives a very lovely, subtle  and luminous glow.

Sephora also has a new brand, Pretty Vulgar, which has a pretty highlighter called Shimmering Swan - it's also quite subtle (and the packaging is divine).

Anastasia Beverly Hills also has a really pretty Illuminator, but I don't think it is sold at Sephora.

Finally, have you tried mixing a liquid highlighter, like Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops, into your foundation for a very natural glow?

Do you want a subtle highlight? A more intense one? Are you cool toned or warm toned? Have you tried any you did not like? The "best" is subjective, but two I love on myself atm are Dior Nude Air Luminizer in 002 (the pink shade) and MUFE Pro Light Fusion in Golden Pink. Becca Pressed Pearl is also good but I'm all about the super pale pink on myself at the moment. I wore Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight for a long time but I'm too pale for that now. @alexiagreen

Subtle but I've tried ulta tarte and a ton of drugstore brands [wet'n'wild revlon etc] but they all haven't been right
