Hi All!
We are long overdue for an updated Subscription Sharing thread! Whether it's BoxyCharm, Ipsy, or PopSugar we want to hear (and see) all about what you are subscribed to.
Interested in trading with other users? Here are some things you need to know from @SydBristow and her trade threads:
IMPORTANT NOTE: To comply with Sephora's terms of use, items cannot be listed "for sale" or even for trade for Sephora or other gift cards. Please do not list "prices" either (which implies selling), but you can list approximate trade value.
Because a number of fake items have been sent in trades, it is strongly advised you provide photos of your higher-end items, including the labeling (you may be asked for it anyway) and list WHERE you purchased the item from. Fakes are readily available from less reputable sellers and can contain toxins! It is important to everyone to know where their cosmetics come from.
Please also be aware that some makeup products cannot be sanitized - please use caution in your trades. When in doubt, ask the community, it's a great resource! Used items you may wish to avoid are mascara, liquid eyeliner, lip glosses, and cream products.
Acquiring Items
Please use discretion with whom you enter into trades with. There is a summarized list of trusted traders here: http://community.sephora.com/t5/Off-Topic/List-of-Successful-Traders-January-2015/td-p/1852954 Protect yourself in your trades, ask questions (such as where an item was purchased), ask for additional photos (to show level of usage and/or labeling to prove authenticity).
If you don’t feel 100% comfortable doing a trade because someone is new, you can request they send their items first.
Communication
Please use the private message system on Beauty Talk and/or tag the user you are trying to get in touch with. Communication is key! You can tell a lot about a trade by how the communication goes. If you will be unavailable for any periods of time, please be up front, and if there are any issues with shipping please be up front about that as well.
Delivery
Having tracking and insurance on shipments goes a long way to figuring out where an item might be. The USPS puts anticipated delivery dates and tracking numbers right on the receipt. If there is any issue with an item you have sent out, please follow up with the carrier.
SUCCESSFUL TRADE EXPERIENCES?
Consider providing your feedback on successful trades on this thread here: http://community.sephora.com/t5/Off-Topic/Successful-Trades-or-TSB-Experiences/td-p/1012387

So lately on my Facebook I've been hit non-stop with subscription box ads. The food ones always look nice, but too pricey for my poor butt. Then I saw this one...Causebox. It caught my eye instantly. But I kept coming back to it and debating. It had this clutch that had my attention. I'm trying to start my business and thought it would be pretty neat to have. Eventually I caved an ordered. I only did the seasonal so I get stuck with whatever colors they give me, annual subscribers can choose certain colors or designs for some of the things. What I really love about Causebox is they all support something. Like the bracelet supports ending human trafficking, and the plant hanger helps plant trees ravaged in the California wildfires. I believe the products are also all from women founders, but not certain. I'm really happy about this subscription and am hoping to continue it. It also has coupons for all the companies at the end of the booklet it includes. It's like $55 for each box, but the total value was close to $300.
@Samtian Love the clutch and the colors/aesthetics of all the items in the box are so pretty!
@CC3616 Thank you! They truly are! There were 3 clutch colors and 3 scarf colors, and each one had a matching pair. If you got lucky that is lol.
This looks like an awesome box, @Samtian !💗
@Tamara76I think it is!
@Samtian I subscribed to Causebox after I saw this box, too!
I admit that vegan leather isn't my favourite, but the clutch is actually quite nice. I've been using it this week and I'm impressed with how much I can fit in it. (I have the blush pink/rose gold one.)
I love the Cleobella scarf (I have marigold), the Wyld Konjac sponge (I quite like Wyld), and the Kalos spray (I'm almost done my bottle!)
I wasn't wowed with the mask at first, but I need to test it again.
I first heard about Causebox back when Sevenly first launched it, as I had been following Sevenly for a few years already. This was just my first time going for it!
@lachaton That is awesome! I really wanted to pink one, but realized black would be better with my photography business. I've never heard of Sevenly, I'll have to look them up. I'm quite pleased with the face mist, even though it has rose. I find it to be the least drying face mist I've tried. I haven't tried the face mask yet, but I love the sponge.
@Samtian I admittedly preferred the old Sevenly model, as it's quite different from how it was when I followed. But it started out as an organization that would design a t-shirt each week and offer it as a LE design. I believe they donated $7 per shirt to the specific organization. There were later a number of changes to the company (including those heading it up), and the end result is (as far as I can tell) it kind of crashed and burned. I think it's still around, but I haven't been following.
@lmaster Thanks! Maybe you've seen it in Facebook ads too?
This might sound crazy but I have not had Facebook for almost 7 years @Samtian I think it was somewhere on YouTube
@lmaster Haha yeah that wouldn't be FB than. Youtube sounds possible.
That box looks great @Samtian!
@faeriegirl Thank you! So far I'm really liking it.
Minus my daughter's Scentbird, which just arrived last night, here are the rest of my March subs:
1. Box of Style
2. Upbox:
3. Popsugar Must Have:
4. Emma & Chloe:
@Tamara76 ...wait wait wait... an edible eye balm?
I don’t think it’s actually edible, @Samtian , but it is super luxe and it’s now available at Sephora! I really love it!💗
Never heard of Upbox but it's super cute @Tamara76 !
Thank you! It has quickly become one of my faves!💗 @ElleElleG
Thank you! So do I!💗 @lmaster
