Hi All! 

We are long overdue for an updated Subscription Sharing thread!  Whether it's BoxyCharm, Ipsy, or PopSugar we want to hear (and see) all about what you are subscribed to.

Interested in trading with other users?  Here are some things you need to know from @SydBristow and her trade threads:

IMPORTANT NOTE: To comply with Sephora's terms of use, items cannot be listed "for sale" or even for trade for Sephora or other gift cards. Please do not list "prices" either (which implies selling), but you can list approximate trade value.

Because a number of fake items have been sent in trades, it is strongly advised you provide photos of your higher-end items, including the labeling (you may be asked for it anyway) and list WHERE you purchased the item from. Fakes are readily available from less reputable sellers and can contain toxins! It is important to everyone to know where their cosmetics come from.

Please also be aware that some makeup products cannot be sanitized - please use caution in your trades. When in doubt, ask the community, it's a great resource! Used items you may wish to avoid are mascara, liquid eyeliner, lip glosses, and cream products.

Acquiring Items
Please use discretion with whom you enter into trades with. There is a summarized list of trusted traders here: http://community.sephora.com/t5/Off-Topic/List-of-Successful-Traders-January-2015/td-p/1852954 Protect yourself in your trades, ask questions (such as where an item was purchased), ask for additional photos (to show level of usage and/or labeling to prove authenticity).
If you don’t feel 100% comfortable doing a trade because someone is new, you can request they send their items first.

Communication
Please use the private message system on Beauty Talk and/or tag the user you are trying to get in touch with. Communication is key! You can tell a lot about a trade by how the communication goes. If you will be unavailable for any periods of time, please be up front, and if there are any issues with shipping please be up front about that as well.

Delivery
Having tracking and insurance on shipments goes a long way to figuring out where an item might be. The USPS puts anticipated delivery dates and tracking numbers right on the receipt. If there is any issue with an item you have sent out, please follow up with the carrier.

Just subscribed to Boxycharms because of this thread! I’m excited! I am new to the beauty world and excited to try out new items and learn. I have worn makeup and dabbled in skincare most of my life but had a set routine and never/rarely veered from it and definitely a beauty/makeup minimalist. I rarely have more than one option in any given item. So excited to learn more and experiment, and get out of my comfort zone a bit!

Thanks #Lazybeautybeast. I have worn the same foundation for 15 years, the same mascara for 10 and the same 4 shades of brown eyeshadow palette for about 5 years....and that’s about it!! I throw in a black eyeliner when I want to be glam!! I think it’s time to take the world by storm...one box on my doorstep at a time! I wore green eyeshadow for the first time, ever, yesterday and my husband was like “who are you”!!!

My play! box came today. This one was hit or miss for me. I'm excited to try the Bye Bye Pores powder and UD gloss. I've tried the fresh mask and the PTR primer, they are both pretty good. The MUFE skin tint shade is a major miss. If I tan all summer, I'll never be that shade. 😒 I'm trying to decide if Play! is worth continuing. I feel kind of iffy about it lately.

I wish the quiz or profile for play! was set up better @howconnie. I would have preferred the hair foils you got. 90% of the fragrance samples I receive trigger my migraines. I just donated about 20-30 fragrance samples.

So I've been pretty much with Play since they offered it in my state in the beginning. My kid was using my phone and idkh but accidentally unsubscribed the winter that it started. I had to get on the waitlist again and resubscribe once I could. I will say in the beginning I loved Play, that's why I resubscribed. But the last half a year or more has been going down hill. I was almost going to unsubscribe during the the beginning of this winter but decided to wait it out. I finally decided I was done this month while my box was in transit (just got my box and it was ok, not good not bad just ok) and subscribed to Boxycharm. My first Boxy should be here on Monday. I'm excited for it! Everyone I know love it!

I am on the fence myself. and so upset over not getting perfume sample as well...but also samples that I'm not interested in, or that would even work for me. I keep reading abnout everyone getting "red lipstick" to try..i would LOVE to try all reds and berries...but they send me the God awful light pink, or the light pink mauves....or the nasty 80s color nars lipstick....among other things...would love to try powders but they don't send them either!! and the nearest sephora store is 120 miles round trip, so I can't just "go in and ask for samples"

Lol, I’m considering stopping my Play since they started giving us haircare foils I have to go in store to get a fragrance sample and it’s taking longer to find the right scents. Spring might be over before I find a new spring scent, better start trying to find a summer or fall one.

I totally get where you are coming from @NinaNee! I've been with Play! for about a year and a half. I feel some kind of loyalty to it for some reason. I do think I get my $10 worth every month but it has gotten a little stale. I really hope you enjoy Boxycharm! I can't wait to hear your thoughts!

I've never seen that primer before @Lazybeautybeast is this a new(er) release?  Outside of the shade what did you think of the MUFE?

Sorry it wasn't a stellar box for you.  I'm starting to wonder if the wavering about continuing a subscription is a normal phase after you've received said subscription for a while....like all the glitz and glam of it have worn off?

I forgot to mention the primer. I think it came out last last year. I first saw it as a GWP in the Sept/ Oct time frame, I think. It's not bad. It reminds me of benefit's pore-fessional but the PTR has a smoother texture. I have worn it on no makeup days to even out my skin.

I had the courage to try the MUFE tint over the weekend. It had very light coverage and the formula is running (not a bad thing, it just surprised me at first). It was nice for days I didn't want foundation. It blurred a little but it's hard to tell because I had to sheer it out a lot to make it wearable. Even though it was way darker then I would like, it actually looked like a natural tan so I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I don't think I would buy it until I sample a lighter shade but I would recommend it for anyone looking to add extra color or even out their skin without a heavy foundation. It wasn't as greasy as most tinted moisturizers, didn't smell sunscreen-y, and absorbed quickly (I used a damp sponge to apply it). Overall, it wasn't a bad product and I would consider buying it in the future if I could found a better shade (and once I get through other products in my stash). It will be great for summer IMO. @ElleElleG

My Boxycharm. I got variation #5. I really happy with my box overall. I'm a little iffy about the lipstick but I'll give it a try.

Box twins @Lazybeautybeast !!  I think you'll like the MAC, it seems like one you can either dab on for a wash of color or layer for more intensity which I like.
