The 15% off Spring sale is around the corner... can I get a drum roll...
THE ROUGE SALE IS APRIL 18TH - 24TH!!! I HAVE THIS CONFIRMED
What's on your list?
PRODUCTS THAT ARE MAYBES...
I was just thinking that this was coming up soon! Thanks for the reminder! I definitely need to think about my list and remember to stock up on mascara. 🙂
Haha I love how the main body text keeps getting updated, that is sooo true of waiting for the sale.
But on a scarier note.. I have been worried they will decide not to do it, the same way Sephora just decided not to do the sale-on-sale event.
I agree with @Annaihk that it's in Sephora's best interest to do the sale for the revenue & traffic. I know a lot of people (myself included) was disappointed that they didn't do the sale on sale last year. I think they will probably be a bigger backlash if they don't the 15% sale this year on top of that. We'll see what happens.
@Insomniacmuffin I hope Sephora finds it in their best interest to keep the sale. Judging from the wish lists that people make each year and the crazy lines in store during the sale, it has to make them soooo much money. And 15% off isn't that much to be honest
My list is currently short and sweet.
I'd like to get:
MUFE Brush Book
Marc Jacobs Lip Gloss Set
Burberry Sheer Fluid.
added the marc jacobs set to my list. I LOVE those glosses, such a great formula.
It may be a short list, but some very lovely items for sure!
I only have a Marc Jacob foundation in my wish list right now cuz I don't want to be disappointed like I was at the December sale on sale (aka lack of it).
This is more or less my current wish list for the sale. If I were to get all of this, I would be spending roughly ~$600 so that is not going to happen. If anyone has had some good or bad experiences with any of these things, do let me know because I appreciate the feedback!
For whatever it's worth @gonerogue that CoverFX powder is amazing! I've tried a bunch of different ones (including the Laura Mercier one which I didnt care for) and this seems to be my HG now. I find it doesnt look cakey, or flat or even powdery. It's blurs my pores well enough and doesnt emphasize any texture.
@Maria88 ok I've officially only heard good things about that product so it is definitely in my "will purchase" list lol thanks!!
If it counts for anything, I think the ND Star Palette is the worst thing literally in the history of ever. The mattes are thin, and the glitters have no sticking base. They instantly crumble and fall off. There's two or three metallic shades that were really nice, but most of the sparkly ones are the thin, crumbly glitters. I was like almost offended at the gall of charging $170 for legitimately the worst eyeshadow I've ever used.
(I've tried MUFE, UD, ABH, Tarte, Too Faced, Lorac, Lime Crime, Ciate, Laura Mercier, Dior, Lancome, etc)
Sucks because I bought this, was dying for it, and welp. It wasn't great. I still have it, couldn't bring myself to return it.
The five pan shadows are nice and I like them more.
Exactly. The glittery shades are not good. The mattes weren't too bad though. $170 was a very high price point. I paid $136 during the last sale which is still too high. The ABH Modern Renaissance is a million times better for so much less. Have you tried the other palettes by Natasha?
Thanks for your input! I wouldn't want to spend so much on one palette and be disappointed in the long run. I think I'm going to do some research before the sale to see if it's really worth it @Nerisai
Great list! Love Marc Jacobs brushes. They are amazing. I want to try his new lip cremes. I like the Natasha Denona Star palette but I don't LOVEEE it.
I have the Marc Jacobs foundation and I don't NEED the brush per se because my Tarte kabuki brush works just fine but I am kind of tempted to try the MJ foundation with the MJ brush 😬 As for the palette, it is pretty pricy so it's going to be a maybe for now. Is there any particular reason why you don't love it? @gxlxaxm
The shimmery shades are a miss for me. Very chunky particles. Be sure to use a glittler glue with those particular shades.
