Re: Post your recent hauls!

@sarithor  Nice haul!  I really wanted to get the Benefit Feeling Cheeky set, because it's a great deal and I haven't tried highbeam yet.  I'm curious to see the MUFE uplights (and apparently there are some NARS illuminators coming soon too) so I think I might wait until those come out to compare...

Re: Post your recent hauls!

yeah thats why I got the feelin cheeky set, I hadn't tried posietint or high beam. I really like High Beam and I've always loved Benetint, but I'm not sure about posietint. I liked it earlier, but I just noticed in the mirror it didn't blend properly.. that might have been my mistake. I'll try again tomorrow.

Re: Post your recent hauls!

Nice haul, sarithor!

Re: Post your recent hauls!

I just love looking at what you ladies are getting!  Yeah, nice haul, sarithor!!  Smiley Very Happy  You got some really good deals!

Yesterday I went for a walk, ended up at the grocery store, and found myself coming out with two cream blushes.  *bangs head on desk*  Smiley Wink  They're super cheap, at only $4 each, but it's not like I needed any more blush, ya know?  But I told myself that I didn't have a red or peach blush, much less in cream formulation, and now here I am.  (Joe Fresh is a Canadian brand that has surprisingly decent stuff for a super cheap price.)

Re: Post your recent hauls!

@officegal: Next time I'm at a Pharmaprix I will check it out!!!!

Re: Post your recent hauls!

These are only sold at Loblaws and Joe Fresh stores.  Smiley Sad

Oh, and a funny thing: I was looking at the list of ingredients in these, and seeing all the "bad chemicals" made me think of you, Fabienne, and how you would disapprove!  LOL!

Re: Post your recent hauls!

ROTFLMAO!!!!! I know, right?! The on ly 'bad chemicals" I allow are from UD and occasionally Too Faced. Everything else is natural! Everything in moderation, right? Smiley Happy

I just got:

Stila Adventurous in Aspen palette

Twirl by Kate Spade

Sephora Blush Peach Tendre 4

Nars Blush Orgasm

Clean Trio

Re: Post your recent hauls!

I am such a party-pooper!!  I have not bought anything yet!  I went into Sephora a few days ago and I got my free Bare Mineral Trio and got out without purchasing anything.  That was SO DIFFICULT!  But I'm saving, cuz there are so many good and expensive things on my wish list that I want to buy them all at the same time.  Am I crazy or what?!

Re: Post your recent hauls!

@mermadelove: Hahahaha re: "OF COURSE I'm going to cut back...after I just buy a few things"

I'm terrible! I need to start going to the gym during my lunch hour, because Sephora lures me in all too frequently (it's approximately two blocks from my office), and I end up walking out with things I discovered (in a five-minute time span) that I "needed." FAIL. I should be embarrassed! Maybe I can persuade them to post my picture by the door and have whoever is greeting kindly escort me out...

Anyway, here goes. I don't remember if I already posted some of these in a recent haul post (crosses fingers that it's not all new), so if I have, I apologize -- these are the recent acquisitions:

MUFE HD Foundation in 110 (I discovered that 115 is actually too dark for me...I wish it were early enough to return!)

The NAKED palette

NARS blush in Douceur

NARS blush in Mata Hari

NARS gloss in Harlow (my favorite ever, but NARS counters and Sephora don't carry it)

NARS concealer (to be fair, I lost mine somewhere)

Clinique Lipstick in Bamboo Pink

MAC lipstick in Hot Tahiti (a great sheer red)

...and there might be more, but I'm blocking them out.

: )

Re: Post your recent hauls!

@ allegrissima: I don't hink you're a party pooper at all. YOu might just be the only sane one here!

HOW did you walk out without buying anything?!?!?

The last time I went into a Sephora 'Just to look' I walked out with $70 worth of stuff!! Granted I went to look so that I could try things out in person before deciding what to buy online, but, since I was there already,.......

@kaite1724: Seriously if I worked that close to a Sephora, I would get apart time job there-- just for the free stuff!!!!! All of the money I made there would be spent there........

Re: Post your recent hauls!

@mermadelove:  It was EXTREMELY DIFFICULT!   I went straight to the cashier to ask if they had the product, and looked straight at the sales associate and nowhere else.  It was the shortest amount of time I had EVER spent at Sephora.  LOLOL

@katie1724:  Working so close to a Sephora!!  Oh MY!  That is so tempting!!  Like mermadelove mentioned,  a part-time job there would be great,  make more money to spend there and get more free stuff  and also discounted stuff...  LOLOL

We are like kids in a candy store!!    Smiley Happy

Re: Post your recent hauls!

I also work a block away from a Sephora and it's torture.  There was a time when I was there nearly every day and the amount of things I accrued were at an insane level.  But after a season like that, you do get a "Sephora fatigue syndrome" and stop visiting for a while.  And then when you go back after having spent time away, you go nuts all over again.  It's a vicious cycle, ladies.  We may have to take drastic measures and cut up our Beauty Insider cards!  Smiley Wink

Re: Post your recent hauls!

Online shopping is my downfall.  I rarely actually walk into a Sephora.  There's too much stuff for my kids to touch and it drives me insane - especially those little beads that fill the brush containers.  Those dang things just scream for my kids to dig their fingers in there!

But on the occassion that I do go in - I've never walked out without buying a least one thing I didn't plan on.

Re: Post your recent hauls!

@Kalex: For some reason, I am much better with the online shopping. I hardly ever impulse buy online. But when you go to the store, there are all these lovely displays....... You can't HELP but look! And when you look, you may as well try, because you can't try before you buy online........It saves you having to return something in the mail when you buy online., Of course once you try and like, you end up buying because now that you know it's lovely, you have to have it........ >:/

Re: Post your recent hauls!

yes, the stores are so good at displaying something so attractively that you have to go over and touch and feel and try ....  and then say..  "oh!  I can find a good use for this!"  and boom!  it is already in your basket and you have paid for it..

then I come home and I remind myself that I should spend less...  but that is not possible.  My main problem is like officegal.  I stay away for a while and control myself, then spend hundreds.

Oh well!  It is all in the name of beauty.  Can't beat that!  Smiley Happy

Re: Post your recent hauls!

@ The ladies who work near a sephora, I have NO clue how you do it!  I would be there during every lunch break, tell myself that I'm exercising on the walk over Smiley Tongue

I have stuff that I've bought that is collecting dust because I keep buying stuff and not using them as often.  This is how I know it's getting really bad.  So I'm trying to REALLY control buying things I don't need or haven't extensively researched or sought after.  Next on my list is the UD Shadow Pencils, and I'm still going back/forth about the UD 24/7 liners.  I'm trying to wait until the next VIB perk!

Um, yep, that's pretty much it. I have no discipline! I'm weak! I stayed away for a few weeks (okay, maybe a week) when one sales associate was like, "'re back!" and I was embarrassed...but it's funny -- the things you don't think you "need" until you stop thought process goes from "Oh, I'll just take a quick look; don't have a lot of time anyway!..." to "Well, this is kind of nice..." to "Wait, I REALLY like this..." to guilt: "Well, ______ is really similar, and you have that..." to rationalization and denial: "Nope, NO, it definitely is not...this one is DIFFERENT!" and: "But I NEED this, because..."

Hahaha...obviously I'm being *slightly* dramatic -- it's not as if I spend $500 a week -- but I seriously need to cut back.

Re: Post your recent hauls!

@katie1724 - Your story reminds me of the time I was constantly in and out of Sephora because I was doing the bridal party's makeup for my sister's wedding and one salesgirl was always asking me, "How's the wedding prep going?"   It's weird, the slight embarrassment that we feel for being caught at Sephora too often!  I did my best to keep things strictly related to wedding stuff but I'm sure a lot of my personal stash also grew during that phase, in the name of "experimenting" and "testing."  Ahhhh, good times.
