Sephora Cyber Week deals

Biossance Caffeine Toning Body Cream + Squalane 6 oz / 200 mL has been a repeated repurchase for almost a decade.

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Chocolit Treatz Lip Luminizer + Lip Oil Duo has been in and out of my basket for some time. I thought I might be able to resist picking it up this year. Clearly I thought wrong. The lip oil I'll keep for myself, the gloss bomb I have already and will gift this one as part of a stocking stuffer.

Small Business Saturday Haul

For Small Business Saturday, I did a tour of the city, stopping into a few local boutiques in different neighborhoods. I have some more things to post from that shoping excursion and will update this thread and post some to the Delectable December Hauls 2025 thread after they've all arrived (some items were ordered and I'll pick them up later this week or next).

• The New Savant Mixed Feelings Candle - I can actually smell the steamed rice in this candle. I may have to pick one up for myself at some point.
• Scents of San Francisco Clement Street Candle 
• JIĀ Golden Milk Candle - I buy at least one of their candles every year during Small Business Saturday since finding them a couple of years ago. Their peach-centric Karaoke candle is among my favorites. Went with this cardamom - star anise - ginger - cream combination this year.
• Illuminati Waxworks Candle - Borealis - Ngl, I was drawn in my the jar; it found a spot in my basket because of the scent - a mix of pine, fir and woodsmoke.

@itsfi I love your Small Business Saturday haul!  I've been trying to remember to shop the smaller more local places more and more.  Don't get me wrong... love me some Amazon... but you found such unique candles and supported your community!  Your house is going to smell amazing!

Thank you @missjeanie! It's always something to be considered throughout the year, beauty and other areas like food, lodging, fashion, etc. - chain or mom pop shops, brand names or indie companies, store with a national presence, regional or local ones, company that has a well established track record, a start up or an emerging company, etc. I try to balance it out in a way that works best for me, my needs, where I want to spend my money and a host of other factors.

I know when I visit other places, I like to try the local cuisine and also frequent the local shops so I try to do that in my own city. Small Business Saturday is kind of a built in platform for it. I try to do it throuughout the year with my purchases, even in years or seasons when I'm on a low buy; I may make more of an effort to do it when I'm on a low buy - use my points / rewards at larger retailers while being more flex or generous with coming out of pocket with purchases at smaller, local businesses. I'm thinking aloud here but I may make a more of an effort in 2026 to be more intentional about doing a small business shopping tour more frequently, like maybe paln on it every season / quarter and budget for it. Hmmm ... 🤔

@itsfi I think it sounds like a great plan to try and go out of your way to make sure those small businesses get some support.  I also prefer to go 'local' when traveling.  I try to find places to go that I can't when I'm at home.  Especially with restaurants where I can.  

I love the idea of being a tourist in your own town.  I think we too often see things right in front of us all the time without actually looking at them.  Being intentional in your mindset to see things as an out of towner I bet you'll find so many fun things you never knew about!

I may borrow this idea and try to borrow the idea of doing this through the year.  Maybe try to do all of my valentines or easter shopping local?  Hm.... ideas are brewing!

Yes, yes @missjeanie, I find going to local, smaller, independent-owned restaurants are easier for me to do, here and out of town. There are a handful of restaurants here that I do frequent that have a few locations but they're independent owned and have expanded into new locations which is nice to see. 

Definitely try shopping local throughout the year - love your idea of shopping for holidays locally. I hear you on going to some larger retailers for shopping needs, or even shopping wants, lol. There's a certain convenience to them, for sure. And, c'mon, what's not to love about a trip to Sephora?! 😍 Balance - a little from here, a little from there.

@CookieGirl1, it was fun playing tourist in town, and being able to shop while at it, lol. It's hard to resist a good smelling candle. You can appreciate that. 😊
