@heartsmyface  great haul, sorry about the dented highlighter though, that's a shame. As long as it's not too difficult to do so, I would return it for a replacement, if it's going to bother you (it would probably bother me ngl 😅) Love the CT advent calendar, it looks so luxe and fun!

I agree with returning it! Sorry to hear it’s so lightweight. I’ve noticed that more and more. The Christian Dior holiday one is absolutely stunning in design but also plastic vs metal. I didn’t compare the blushes but I also think it’s a button every time. I also noticed the latest Rouge G case is smaller.

Oh, it hurt to see the dent in that Gucci compact @heartsmyface! I can understand your dilemma; if it's not too inconvenient for you, I say return it - part of that product is the compact design. Love seeing the CT on your table, along with that lipstick plush ornament. 😍

@itsfi  Yeah that was my thinking.  It’s odd cause the compacts look beautiful but both feel like cheaper and lighter more dry plastic.  The highlighter feels especially insignificant in weight and feels lighter than most of my highlighters.  I’m disappointed it’s made with flimsy plastic and seemingly isn’t metal but with a metallic coating.  
With the blush the top with the stars isn’t the same as the regular blushes.  The regular ones have the stars printed under a thick clear laminated coating. The holiday version has the stars printed in gold with a much thinner less rubbery? laminate coating. Meh, not a deal breaker but a little disappointing given the prices are higher and the quality is lower.  I’d rather pay more and keep the quality they started out with.  
See how the material is so thin that the inside hinge components are misshaping the actual compact? It’s literally not strong enough to support itself.

Yeah, I agree @heartsmyface. The Gucci holiday one did feel a lot lighter than my other Gucci blushes - and I almost dinged the product itself when I opened it (user error). 🙄

@itsfi  ha I struggle to open their blush compacts cause my tired brain before coffee doesn’t understand it’s not a button and that it’s two pieces that separate.  Every. Time.  That’s clearly a me issue.  
Is your holiday blush dented on the bottom where the hinge is?  I have to check my other compacts to be sure but I have never noticed this happen with any compact before.

@Buootiful  Thanks.  I’m appreciating the actual product for now.  The highlighter itself is gorgeous!   Very very fine milled and even though it appears holographically pearlescent in swatches, it looks very natural on.

Sorry to hear about the dent, I know what you mean about every time seeing it for sure. I’m glad the product was intact. Such a beautiful shade. The CT mantel is so neat it looks kinda like an advent calendar? I hope you enjoy your haul ❤️🌸 @heartsmyface

@peculiarzmakeup  Thanks.  I rationalized that I am paying for the brand and packaging with the highlighter so I should get the nice packaging.  

Oh yeah I couldn’t resist the heart shaped jewelry box!  It’s quite solid and well made!!  I’ll take better photos of it in the near future.  It hasn’t received the best reviews online so far which I think comes down to people expecting to get more than they paid for.  The beauty product value is there and then you get the sturdy jewelry box.

@curlychiquita  Okay that was quick and easy.  I just went through customer service chat and they have a replacement  arriving by the 20th.  And I can keep or donate the dented one.

@SportyGirly125  Yeah, I just went through the online chat and they’re replacing it.  I feel strangely guilty cause the product itself is okay.  But it should arrive in perfect condition.

@heartsmyface If you could see the amount of products that get returned in almost 6 hours. We had 2 full bins of it to scrap out on Monday.

@SportyGirly125    2 bins in 6 hours?!  That just hurts my soul.  I can’t imagine having to take those out to the dumpster even if they aren’t safe.

 I really don’t like returning items unless there’s something physically wrong with them.  If it’s the wrong shade for me or I don’t enjoy the texture or scent, that’s on me cause it was sold to me how was meant to be.  
it has to be broken or faulty or the wrong item sent entirely for me to even consider letting someone else absorb the cost and that’s fairly rare.   I think I’ve returned maybe five items in my entire Sephora history.
