Quick Las Vegas Sephora run that (I think) reRouged me: 

A forgot to pack, a ran out of, and a moment of weakness.

Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Mini Alpha Beta® Ultra Gentle Daily Peel Pads for Sensitive Skin 5 Treatme... - I have to return these. I forgot to pack an exfoliant and wanted the regular strength DDG peel but didn’t see a mini box at this Sephora location, and I didn’t wanna check the other locations on or off the strip, so I settled for the ultra gentle peels, and of course I can’t use ‘em anyway because they contain lavender. 🤦‍♀️ Womp womp. 

Tower 28 Beauty Mini SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray with Hypochlorous Acid 1 oz/ 30 mL - I ran out of the mini SkinSmart hypochlorous acid spray I packed, so I grabbed a mini T28 spray for the rest of my trip. I use these sprays as non-drying hand sanitizer, among other things. 

MERIT Flush Balm Cream Blush Le BonBon - because why not try a second Merit blush shade? This color reminds me of Westman Atelier’s Poppy blush stick. Hopefully it’ll perform much better than WA’s for me. 

In all the times I’ve been to Vegas, I’ve never stopped by a Sephora here. I’m surprised this particular store wasn’t larger, but they did manage to fit a good amount of brands into that space. I assume the Caesar’s Sephora is bigger since, you know, Caesar’s itself is humongous. I swear that whole complex gets ridiculously larger each time I visit. 😂

I have 2 merit blush balms but they look really patchy on me. Maybe I am using them wrong. How do you like them?

Thanks @caitbird ! I had a very good time! Now that I’m home again, I should pull some other blushes for swatch comparison photos. Gotta see if I can find that old WA Poppy blush stick lying around… I don’t remember if I kept it or gave it away. (I do recall missing the return window, unfortunately.)

This was my first flight anywhere since late 2019, and it’s been great to finally travel again. I really missed it. And I could swear these peels didn’t used to contain lavender… pretty sure I’ve used them before, but maybe not. Huh. Lesson learned! 😅

@greeneyedgirl107   Heh, you did at least fly in the 2020’s. 🙂 I was medically grounded for a while, among other reasons for not traveling. I’d forgotten some of LAS airport’s quirks, so that made things interesting. But overall, it was great to fly and see all the mountains from above again.

I hope you have a great time in Vegas @WinglessOne! Using Tower 28's spray as a sanitizer is very intriguing. And you have more uses for it? 

I'm sorry to hear about the surprise ingredient in the DDG pads, I hope you found an different exfoliator for your travels.

Thanks @CynthieLu ! Yeah, hypochlorous acid is anti-everything; viral, fungal, bacterial, and inflammation. It works well as a skin soother for many folks (that’s how T38 markets their spray), but it can also disinfect things and clean wounds, and it can help treat acne (attacks acne-causing bacteria). I always buy big jugs of SkinSmart’s hypochlorous acid, but there are several other products on the market and, like SkinSmart, they cost considerably less than T28 yet do the same things.

That's very versatile sounding, thank you for that! When you say anti fungal, like fungal acne or for nails too do you think? @WinglessOne

@CynthieLu  You may wanna look up the data on hypochlorous acid and all the things it can treat. 😉 But yes, it can treat both fungal acne (malassezia folliculitis) and nail fungus, as long as it’s strong enough… I don’t recall the exact ppm or % necessary, but I know SkinSmart’s well within range and I’m pretty sure T28’s is too. 

If you plan to use hypochlorous acid for nail fungus: that stuff’s notoriously hard to kill, so you might need a second anti-fungal product/ingredient alongside this one to maximize the effort.
