@Saradestin  Before this, I'd only used nail products from Butter, not their makeup. Or, I don't think I'd used their makeup before... I might've tried a bullet lipstick before and just don't remember it now. I'd say the brand's worth trying, though!

Butter London offers some really good products @WinglessOne . Wild Orchid reminds me of Urban Decay Cruz which has been discontinued.

@Loretta55  You have a good eye! I don't have Cruz anymore, otherwise I'd swatch it against Wild Orchid—but I think you're right, Cruz is probably a very close match. And geez, speaking of a brand (besides Bite) I wish hadn't discontinued a popular lipstick line and replaced it with something subpar: I like several UD Vice cream satin bullets and a few of the Vice Comfort Matte bullets. Sigh... Anyway, I always associate Butter London with nail products instead of makeup, but I'll have to remember to consider them when it comes to lipstick and other non-nail items. 🙂

I agree that I always associate Julep with nail products and not makeup @WinglessOne. I wish that brands would not reformulate popular items.

I think anyone can look good wearing purple or blue lipstick. Just gotta find the purple or blue that speak to you. Plus, denim blue is practically a neutral color. I mean, blue jeans look good on everyone, right? There are many shades of blue denim these days, and there's bound to be a lipstick out there that matches. 💙

@WinglessOne haha I look weird with those tones, because my skin is very pale and I don't wear any makeup, other than the lippie. I prefer neutrals on me. I don't know, I feel like everyone is staring at me when I'm out there with a strange lippie shade or even with some jewellery pieces 😂

@Skunk12puzzola  Many days, the only makeup I wear is brow pencil and lipstick. A non-neutral lipstick shade can be fun as the only pop of color on the face. I do understand some people's preference for neutrals, though. Kinda like how I'm not a neutrals girl: I sometimes do neutral eyeshadows with a bold lipstick, or a colorful eye look with a neutral lipstick, but I don't often do a full face of neutrals. If I'm gonna do that, I figure I might as well not wear makeup at all (except brow pencil, because I don't leave home without that). Eh, different preferences for different folks. 🙂 

A good way to ease into the purple side of lipstick is to try some berry shades. Berry's not an unusual color, and anyone can wear it. I mean, I think anyone can wear whatever dang color they want (psh, let people stare if they can't help themselves), but berries are truly universal. You can find some bluer-toned berries that lean closer to grape jam color. And hey, that's a purple! A not-so-unconventional purple. Just throwing that out there, should you ever want to challenge your comfort zone. 😉

@WinglessOne thank you so much for your advices and kindness. I have dark circles and my teeth are not the best looking, so I feel more comfortable to use nudes/light mauves for that reason. If I had skin like yours, you bet I would go around with the craziest shades, but this is not the case 😂
