Magnetic, Marvellous March Hauls!

March is here, the end of winter is coming near! 
Let’s celebrate the end of the cold winter season with some sunny, fun, fresh hauls!

I’m very slow posting stuff from late February and this month, partly because I haven’t felt like swatching everything, but also because I’m feeing less consumerismy lately (gosh, can’t imagine why). While I work on my backlog, here’s something I can post that requires no swatching. I’m ridiculously giddy about having these!

Hakuhodo Slide Face Brushes H614 (synthetic), J602 angled (goat), and J603 (grey squirrel & goat) - I’ve stalked all the Slide brushes for a few years and could never decide which one to buy, even after watching some good comparison videos. You see, I wanted one to occasionally replace my big ol’ CT Air-Brush on the road: 

The Slide brush handles are flat vs. the Air-Brush’s round handle, so they take up less space in a bag. They’re also shorter when closed.

I finally chose the H614 as a multi-tasker (creams and powders, though I’ll probably mostly use it with finishing powders), the J602 for creams (especially on and around my nose), and the J603 for powder blush. I love how easily the handles work: the caps click into the base to form handles that won’t accidentally collapse during use when the brushes are fully extended. I can slide the handle/cap up to compact the bristles if I want a denser brush experience—though to use a Slide brush that way, I have to hold the ferrule instead of the cap to avoid fully collapsing the brush. Still a good usable option though. 

I was going to buy these direct from Hakuhodo, but price hunting convinced me to finally give Fude Japan a try. It’s not really a retail shop… eh, more like having a personal shopper in Japan, so shipping takes 1-2 weeks longer than it would from elsewhere. The guy behind it is very friendly and, based on my first experience, trustworthy. And he included some free treats in my order:

After I wash the synthetic and goat brushes to let ‘em fluff out to their full potential (I’m leaving the squirrel + goat brush as is for now), I’ll take some comparison photos for the Love for Brushes thread.

I really like it @CookieGirl1 !  I mainly wanted it for the waver and it is so easy to use!
