Honestly, idk how Huda does it but Huda just DOES IT. I'm really excited to pick up Huda. HG is kind of a hit or a miss for me depending on what I'm looking for.. I also find that HG kinda has like a learning curve sometimes and/or gotta find a way to "make it work".. maybe I'll skip HG for now and pickup Huda and Armani and see... 👀👀👀

That is very true @jaaayp 🤔. I love some HG and others not so much. Huda seems to just do some very creative and innovative products and I really appreciate that. Thoughtful shades too. I’m here for it! Online shopping is tricky but I do it an awful lot as well. The thrill of the unknown. 🥹😆 Love to hear what works for you! 💞

That is a VERY satisfying looking haul, @Sunnysmom !  Thanks for the mini reviews and swatches, too--I've been intrigued by the Kulfi Lassi Lips Staining Long-Lasting Moisturizing Lip Oil formula and the HUDA BEAUTY Blush Filter Soft Glow Liquid Blush Strawberry Cream is on my "to-buy" list because I have one of the other colors and also love it.

There is something about buying blush this past year that has been so fun @CookieGirl1 , thank you! 💞 So many good ones to choose from especially the Huda! I remember you love them too- great great formula. The Kulfi is terrific! Think you’ll like it!

@Sunnysmom  Heh, I ordered the same shade of NARS’s new refillable. I think it’s arrived, I just haven’t gone downstairs to collect all my packages yet. Interesting that it doesn’t last very long on you… that’s not usually a problem I have with satins unless they’re extremely emollient. How do you think the new NARS formula compares to the old NARS original satin lipstick and/or the Audacious formula? 

The new Rouge Gs look lovely, as do all your swatches.

Oh nice @WinglessOne ! I almost ordered the red or rusty red but decided to wait to see how I liked this one. Uncommon restraint 🥹 lol. It’s a pretty pretty color that’s for sure, think you’ll love it. It’s been awhile since I’ve worn my other Nars. Oops, I should. This one strikes me as very smooth and comfy and just a bit thinner and more translucent almost. Glides on very silky and almost gel-like but it’s not of course. Leaves an ok ish stain but not super dense or as heavy like the Audacious were. Maybe quite similar to the satins , yes I think so. Find me when you try it. Maybe I also had some leftover balm on before I used it too. I did wear it again as is today and it felt almost the same. I do like it though. The case is very sturdy and inky dark too, forgot to mention. Cool vibe! Do you like Guerlain? Always such a great shade range for the berries/reds. The packaging bugs a bit tho bec it’s so tricky to store them and so clunky and heavy in my bag. Such problems. 🙄

@Sunnysmom  Thanks for the NARS feedback! I’ll tag you once I’ve tried mine. To be fair though, these deep purply berry shades can be problematic in general regardless of brand or formula; it seems to be a hard shade to formulate, though the issue’s usually patchiness/streaking. Because of that, I don’t like passing final judgement based on that shade. I wanted to buy a second shade to compare performance, but refills aren’t available yet and there’s no point paying for 2 of the refillable cases, so I’ll have to be patient. 😅 

Yep, I’m a Guerlain Rouge G fan and also like their older Kiss Kiss bullets. Remember the hunter green Rouge G? That’s still my favorite green by anyone. When it was discontinued, a Nordy SA texted me that he had one more in stock and was holding it for me, so I have a backup. 🙃 I do have one custom case and still regret buying it because it’s so hecking big and clunky. Plus, the bullet base is what holds the mirror shut, so when it’s empty the mirror always wants to pop out; makes it annoying to store while empty. (I always carry Rouge G’s in my bag with just their little plastic caps on.) I wonder if Guerlain’s changed that design flaw since I bought mine years ago. Not that it matters personally to me since I’ll never buy another one again 😂; I’m just curious if they’ve changed it to be more usable for other folks.

I agree with you. These deep shades are hard to do just right without being draggy and  patchy. I’ll take a bit more sheer vs that any day! Ya I won’t do another until the refill either. We are so smart. 🤓🤣 ha I’m so not. Well the thing Guerlain did now is to modify the case slightly just enough so the old bullets don’t fit in them !! 😡 The case is a little bit lighter and the mirror part isn’t quite as cumbersome as long as you close it right. But…similar and still not ideal. I’m still afraid to just use the plastic caps as these don’t seem to seal quite as tightly. Always something. I’m so glad you got the hunter green backup!! I know that’s your fav shade! One of my very first reds I used to wear a 1000 years ago was a Guerlain and I loved it so much. Pigment was like none other. Nothing has been quite the same for me since I don’t think. We’re talking the late 80s here! Oops. 🙃

Geez, way to force customers wanting a case to spend more money, Guerlain. 🙄 On a positive note, it’s good that they tweaked the design a bit to at least make the case lighter. I wish they’d put a clasp or button release on the mirror, instead of relying on the bullet base to open/close the mirror. 

And this reminds me to see if any other brands’ caps fit a Rouge G bullet. I wish MAC’s did, because I’ve replaced so many MAC caps with By Alegory’s clear acrylic caps, so I have lots of now-unused MAC caps. 😅 

My favorite lipstick shade in the ‘80s (when I wasn’t wearing black eyeliner as lipstick) was Revlon Blackberry, a rich red wine shade. I’m not even sure Revlon still has that shade in bullet form, though I’m sure they have something very similar now. I was a high school kid and Guerlain was nowhere on my radar back then—which is probably a good thing, in hindsight. 😂 I can imagine falling deep in love with a Guerlain red back then though, and having trouble finding a suitable replacement ever since.

Such problems right @WinglessOne ?! Considering the state of all things right now!! But still… very important to those of us who live to find the perfect lippie! 😆Nope it does not totally fit properly. Grr. Same with the little plastic caps. Keep using the other clear ones you have that I bought as well from your great suggestion ! They new bullets slide in to the old case but they don’t click and hold! They can flop out! Unreal. I tried all of my new ones in a few old cases. The mirror and case is just slightly less weighty but a little bit. I would like the clasp too. The new plastic caps don’t seem to stay on well for both the new and on older lips. I tried to put one in my bag and it came off! Not ok. So clear ones are only way to go for sure. They’re not winning points for all of this. Imho. 🙃 Not that anybody asked me. Ha I am enjoying the new Nars by the way. Even if doesn’t last quite like I’d like it’s very comfy. The translucence of it is pretty. Have you tried yours yet? Of course now I want the dark red that is only on Nars and not Sephora! Is nothing easy. Lol I wonder how the shades differ in opacity or not. 

I had Blackberry too!! It was so good!! Wonder if it still exists. Yup I was a few years ahead of you out of college and in the working world by then! 😭

Aw thank you @ather ! 🥰 Yes I’m so excited to try the SF mask! I’ve been wanting to try it forever! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I managed to grab that little rhode rascal this am! I’m sure it’ll be back tomorrow or something considering the way they’d done it before maybe?! They’re so nice, I just love them too!
