Please post your incredible hauls for this month. I can’t wait to see what everyone gets during the Sephora Savings Event which starts first for Rouge members on 4/5.
Sephora Savings Event 2024 FAQs (Updated 3/4)
Happy Birthday month April babies!!!
( @jaaayp I do have a BASMA blush but it’s the fuchsia one! Drats. Keep at your quest!) 💞 BASMA The Cream Blush Fuchsia
What are your thoughts on the BASMA blush @Sunnysmom ?? Is it easy to overblend? Does it ever set without powder? DOES IT HIDE ALL YOUR PORES?!?!
🤣 @jaaayp I wouldn’t say it hides all my pores even tho mine are quite small but it doesn’t not hide them?! Somewhere in the middle maybe?! 😆 I have used it on its own and over my tinted moisturizer that I also mixed with Supergoop Glow. I prefer the latter as it was a little bit too flat on its own for my liking. It’s smooth creamy ish but not sticky and it does dry down right away too. It comes on strong but you can blend it out esp if you use it with something forgiving over or under! I didn’t need to use powder but I’m sure you could. I prefer a glowy look so that’s why I did that but I’m sure it’s cute as is! The Cherry red may work for you if it doesn’t turn but the Fuchsia is def pink! (Think I posted this end of Feb hauls. Keep me posted of course! 🤓)
Pics in spoiler. 😊
Ooooh. Those are some nice colors @Sunnysmom !! Thank you for the swatches. They're really pretty. Although that cherry color... not the red I'm looking for because I can see the pink meeeeeh. Im gonna show you the HUDA BEAUTY Cheeky Tint Cream Blush Stick Rebel Red. I think its the most red ive seen so far.
But I'm glad this worked out for you! I think im just like so picky. Also, i think youre also quite yellow toned from what i can see in the picture.. pink works for you??!?!?
Too flat for your liking... guuuurl, I'm so greasy, I'm basically glowing 10 mins after application of any matte products that highlighter just becomes redundant LOLOL I'm jealous of your small pores... I actually saw a tutorial recently about how to apply cream blushes properly so it doesn't come off patchy/emphasize your pores.. I need to try it.
Yup I figured it would be too pinky red for you @jaaayp , drats! I’m glad you’ve found the Huda tho! It looks good! I’m not really yellow toned no, more neutral warmish from what people tell me. Tricky. My pics may look different. I don’t like the colors I’m “supposed “ to wear vs the cool tones I love and think look best anyway. I take advice with a grain it appears! Lol. I can do blush that is pink, red, pinky/reddy/coral, plum- neutral too. Strange. 🤣 Well, money saved for you as you have your built in glow!! I’m jealous! I can achieve a bit of that with a hot day but that’s about it! The tutorial sounds good!! Love to hear about it! 🥰
Neutral is the best imo @Sunnysmom ! That means you get best of both worlds!! I think cool tone blushes on warm undertone works wonderful sometimes if you choose the right shade, it pops on the cheeks more? But what do I know, most my shades are warm toned 😂😂😂
You're supposed to stamp/press cream blushes and blend with damp beauty blender (I just usually use a duo fiber and swipe swipe) so that you don't move the foundation around 🥲
Well it can be a pop alright @jaaayp ! Trying not to 🤡 it. Lol. That is good advice. I don’t really wear foundation but I can see that if I have too much tinted moisturizer on how it can move around. I just press it into my skin with my fingers or a light brush smooshing it in. Oops. A duo fiber sounds good. I don’t know if I have one of those. Or do I lol. Any you recommend?!
My brushes are pretty old @Sunnysmom 😂 my brushes are mostly MAC (bought like 15 years+ ago) that are still in really good shape! I also have some real technique that I really love but the duo fiber is from MAC. I mean fingers sound good but since I wear foundation, fingers kinda take the foundation off/splotchy..
You.... dont... wear... Foundation? Do you just miraculously have amazing skin!?!??!
Good to know on the MAC brush , thank you @jaaayp ! I like their brushes. Of course I don’t you silly. 🥰 🤣 But I do like light tinted moisturizer with skin showing underneath and then I just do spot treatments for little areas. 🙂 Less is more for my more * ahem mature skin. ☺️
Right there with you @Sunnysmom 😂😂😂 more = more visible wrinkles. I usually just use one pump of foundation and blend to the thinness of nothing with Mt sponge 🧽 then pack on them concealer 😂😂😂
Awes,e haul! That MAC is so pretty, (along with all the other distinctly different shades, lol)! @WinglessOne
@WinglessOne Oh I love seeing all of these beautiful colors 🥰🥰. Your new lippies and blush are beautiful 😍
Great haul @WinglessOne ! I picked up a Basma blush to try as well. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
Thanks @makeitup305 ! Let me know what you think of the Basma blush once you’ve played with it. I’m keeping mine out so I’ll remember to use it this week for a wear test.
@WinglessOne Great haul!! Do we ever need another nail polish?? I mean one more won’t hurt right? Looks like a pretty colour!
@ather Haha, very true! That polish is very sheer but quite pretty.
@WinglessOne, thank you for the reminder to get another dry brush shampoo. I've been living off of it for a few months and it's convenient.
I hope you remembered to get maude Wipe - water-activated, biodegradable wipes 10 Wipes !
The Basma is definitely dewy, but I liked that balmy feeling of it. I think I was using it with Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush for the first few times I wore it to get a really nice ombre effect.
